  Safety First and Confort

  There is a lot of uneasiness in traveling right now, but with the precautions in pace at this property, I felt safe and was able to sleep well. A highly professional staff lead by Laura Garcia took very good care of me. At check in I was given gloves and a mask in a welcome gift bag. They are practicing social distancing, everyone was wearing a mask, hand sanitizer stations were available, towels were delivered in a plastic bag and there is a log that was being updated hourly to monitor employees temperatures. They are taking COVID-19 seriously. Great work! The breakfast at the blue birch is delicious. I travel 150 nights a year and this is one of the best Marriott in the country. Thanks!

  A gorgeous retreat

  The Minneapolis Marriott Southwest is a reassuring oasis in this summer of COVID concern. The staff are exceptionally friendly and professional. They provided me with a welcome bag that included a mask and a wrapped set of fresh towels. I was upgraded to a beautiful corner king suites with wraparound windows. The hotel is immaculately clean, with decor that's refreshed without being cold/sterile. It's located in a planned office park that's wooded and serene; you'll have to drive a few blocks to get to food/shops, but the location is very convenient to central Minneapolis. Highly recommended.

  Labor Day weekend

  Our son just moved into the area.His new apartment is located in the same office park as the hotel, so extremely convenient for us. The hotel is very clean, sanitizing stations all around, masks are required. Upon entry there are even masks and gloves available for those who need it. Even the pens are in separate containers marked used or clean. Towels and toiletries were handed to us wrapped in plastic upon check in. We were offered bottled water and a coffee maker to take up to our room. The desk attendant told us to please let her know if we needed anything else for our room as there is currently no maid service. Husband is highest level rewards member, so he asked for room upgrade if available. We were given a room on the 11th floor which she said was a deluxe room (?) I do not know if it was, there didnt seem to be anything special about it, but nice room nonetheless. Rooms do have a mini fridge which is nice as well. We were given breakfast coupons for our stay. You could not choose off the menu, standard hash brown potatoes and scrambled eggs with coffee or juice, no toast. We used the coupon the first morning, but the poor gentleman at the bar was extremely busy with customers and orders, and by himself, it took quite awhile to get the meals, and personally for us, the eggs were very greasy. The next two days we only had coffee to go. There is a very nice patio/outdoor eating area at this hotel also. Location to highways and the airport very good. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in town to visit our son!

  Odd during Covid but staff makes the difference

  This Marriott property is a true business hotel, and nice property. Was here because of a funeral, room and property very clean and adhering to all safety standards. But still got that personal touch. Chris in the restaurant is a rock star. He has gone above and beyond to provide incredible service during this very odd time.Staff like Chris makes this a hotel you should stay at under any condition

  Above and beyond

  My new job brings me to Minneapolis every two weeks. Being from the west coast, and given its winter, its been an interesting experience. Over the last 3 months Ive been on the search for a business/family travel oriented place to stay. Ive tried 6-7 hotels. Each had one element that Id call a strong point, but none could put all the elements together. Then I found this Marriott on Opus. These guys have their s@$t together. Easy parking, good food for all three meals, fast room service, nice bar area, good gym facility, indoor pool and jacuzzi, clean modern rooms, great safe wooded rural feeling location yet 1/2 mile from the freeway. One of the best things about this hotel is their staff. Lead by their manager Riley Willison, they were and are always on their game. Whether helping track down a package that Amazon fumbled, or making sure my Bonvoy stay credits were properly noted in their system. Id recommend this hotel 100%.
