  Odd choices

  Just checked in, upgraded to Harpeth River Suite on top floor. Fabulous, right? Until we started to unpack. Not one single drawer to put your panties in. Huge living room but it is crowded with tables & chairs, as tho were about to have a conference in here. While waiting for the room to be ready, we had lunch in the lobby restaurant. As we & others ate, a man went back & forth, right next to our tables, with a huge machine, polishing the floor. Who does that at lunchtime?

  Excellent property with the most helpful and caring staff

  I recently hosted a small event at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs, Although they are a large conference center, the staff gave me the care and attention of a large event. Juanita, Sales Director, was especially helpful and wonderful to work with. Juanita went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed on the day of the event. Kevin at the front desk was very kind and caring. I would highly recommend this property.

  Only 3 STARS for the Marriott in Cool Springs

  We were eager to stay at the Marriott Cool Springs and noticed there weren't many cars in the parking lot for the 2 days we were registered. Inside, the staff wore masks and had taken precautions to make sure everything had been sanitized. However, our breakfast server did not wear gloves to bring our coffee, salt and pepper shakers, and plates of food which disturbed us. They did not have the decaf coffee I requested and our toast was not toasted. There were only 5 people having breakfast and we thought the service could have been better. We ordered a late lunch and were the only people in the dining area. We waited at least 30 minutes flr my burger and fries! The condition of our room was just average, nothing special like we expected. There were many knicks and scratches on walls and doors that were distracting. The shower water pressure was weak and not what I'd expect at the Marriott. Because of Covid-19 we didn't see or hear anyone on our floor. It was rather eerie. We didn't like being on the top floor and in a very small room and really thought we'd be given a much nicer and larger room knowing how feel people were registered. The indoor pool area was unclean with food and other debris on the floor. It badly needed an update. The outdoor patio was quite large with tables and chairs arranged in the sunny as well as shaded areas.

  COVID Approved

  Traveling during COVID can be challenging when youre not sure whether businesses will be following COVID prevention protocols. We stayed at the Marriott Cool Springs for 5 nights in September 2020. Part of the stay was for work and the remainder was for family when we had relatives in an adjoining room. This hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. I was working in the lobby most of the day on a weekday and observed several hours of staff deep cleaning the lobby. All staff wore masks 100% of the time and required guests to do the same. The food in the lobby restaurant was good, particularly breakfast. My husband was in a hurry one morning to get to a work meeting and the staff expedited his order. The breakfast buffet was open on 2 mornings we were there and had everything you could want. Staff served the buffet to each diner to maintain cleanliness which was great. I felt safe and comfortable at this hotel during COVID. Well done, Marriott Cool Springs.

  Great stay

  Stayed just one short night on a business trip. Great location! Check in staff did a nice job staying distanced and getting me the quiet room I wanted. Room overall was in great shape. Clean. Comfy bed. Quiet overnight. Water pressure could be a bit better but adequate. I'd stay again.
