  Gran ubicación en el centro histórico

  La ubicación es muy buena, y tiene cerca varios restaurantes elegantes para comer/cenar. Las áreas comunes y habitaciones están excelentemente limpias y el personal esta bastante por arriba del promedio de amabilidad típica de Estados Unidos.

  Never again

  Very out dated. Not a single USB port to be found in the rooms. Walls so thin our neighbors had us thinking we had to pay for our room by the hour. Club lounge not open on the weekend- so dont count on that Marriott rewards members. Breakfast Buffett is sad and service is clueless.

  A perfectly acceptable stay

  We spent a week at this property and it was perfectly acceptable. There was nothing wrong but there was nothing so stellar either. We had a standard room that was comfortable and worked fine for the needs to two people. The location is very nice because it is right downtown and there are many, many restaurants to choose from within a 10-minute walk. There is a very large attached parking garage and access to the hotel from there is through a covered skyway (glassed-in walkway). We happened to have access to the concierge lounge and the breakfast provided in there was good. It was eggs and breakfast meet with fruit. In the evening they provided one or two kinds of appetizers. Again, perfectly acceptable.

  Helpful staff during our second stay

  We had stayed at this property once before and decided to go back. The first visit was pre-Covid. This time, we had a nice stay also. There is nothing stellar about the property. It does seem like it needs a little updating. But, the staff was terrific this time. Desmond worked the front desk most mornings so we chatted regularly. He gave me genuine recommendations for places to exercise outside where I could socially distance. He steered me away from a park that I had heard mixed reviews about and gave me a much better suggestion. He also gave me genuine opinions on restaurants and not just the most popular tourist haunts. The desk staff always wears masks and there is a key drop-off box for you to use when returning your room key & parking garage key. The housekeepers that I saw in the hallway rarely wore masks. That was concerning, but daily housekeeping is basically suspended anyway. We were there one week and half way through our stay they left a plastic bag of extra towels, bathroom supplies and coffee supplies for us. I used the gym once because there were adequate cleaning supplies for me to wipe everything down before and after use. Normally, we have access to the concierge lounge/food due to our status in the Bonvoy program. However, they are not currently providing any food at all. They gave us points instead, so Bonvoy members need to be aware of that. There is a communal microwave on the first floor that you can use to heat up your own food to eat in your room. This station also has sanitizing wipes for you to use before & after using the microwave. Overall, we would continue coming back. See you next time, Desmond!

  Great location

  This is our second visit to this hotel in downtown Columbia. We were visiting for the MC Escher exhibit at the art museum which is across the street. The weekly Saturday street fair right outside the door is an added bonus. Walking distance to the capital & many downtown destinations is the main draw for me. Covid put a real damper on the experience. Some advertised amenities are not available. Breakfast is not being served, which is a real shame. There was also no lock box or microwave in our room. You have to special request room cleaning. We had a balcony room for the first time. We could see the parking garage & nothing else. Not worth the extra $ unless youre a smoker. Beds very comfortable & room otherwise well appointed. The staff are very friendly & professional. No complaints there. We used the pool & enjoyed having a heated indoor pool environment for this time of year. There are single stall restrooms with shower stall in the pool area. Bring your beach towel if you plan to use the pool, as otherwise you have to use your room bath towel. I understand that Covid is beyond their control, but I wound have appreciated a heads up that breakfast was cancelled, at the very least. Based on our last experience, I was expecting a repeat performance of the best shrimp & grits Ive ever had!
