  Well structured...but...

  A friend of mine refered me to this hotel. Everything is good except (i) the single rooms are squeezed, (ii) there is no cable TV...even when I asked to be given the service...they kept on promising but nothing happened and (iii) slow service. Nonetheless, the staff was friendly, they had good food and extremely clean rooms. Please try to get a more mature hotel manager...in actual fact, the young manager i found is ok but it good is you did a little evaluation of the position... and don't forget to get cable TV to all rooms as promised.... without those changes i wouldn't be back there!

  Clean, safe and friendly hotel

  My wife and I stayed here twice between flights from Entebbe airport. The hotel arranged airport transfer ($15) and were very friendly and accommodating. On one occasion we needed to leave a suitcase for collection a week later, which they gladly did at no cost to us. The room was clean and had free wifi, the shower was hot. Breakfast was OK not exciting. However the room at the front of the hotel was very noisy - lots of traffic lorries, taxis through the night, and noisy people and beeping horns from about 5.30 the next morning. Be warned! Nevertheless it suited our needs. Thanks, Manager Nelson!

  Quality at a low price

  I never knew there was such best places to stay which are cheap, but luxurious until we were recommended by a cab driver to Marphie hotel. First of all the staff are welcoming and ever smiling as though this is part of the hotel's culture. What I loved most is the speed at which our guests were served.

  Dishonest Manager (Mr. Hilary)

  I first stayed at Marphie's Hotel in November 2015 and my stay was wonderful. As a result of this experience, I returned last month (Nov 2016) for a two night stay. I paid up front on arrival. However, after checking in, I realized that the WIFI service was down, one of the lights in my room was not working, the TV was not working, and there was no AC. With no improvement by the next morning, I decided to check out early. The receptionist told me however, that I would be reimbursed (USD $60) by the manager, a Mr. Hilary. I returned later that day and he was not there. I returned the next day and he still was not there. I obtained his phone number and contacted him. Let's make a long story short here. He promised to stop by the new hotel where I was staying but never kept his word. I contacted him and requested that he deliver the money to an acquaintance of mine since I was leaving. He promised to do so and still has not kept his word, more than a month later. It is always one excuse after another (when he can be reached) and one broken promise after another, as he did with me. I suspect that this Mr. Hilary is a crook. He is very unethical and as such, has no business running a hotel. All future guests at Marphie's Hotel, Beware!!!

  Rude receptionist

  Missed my flight on Ethiopian airways was given a voucher to this hotel this is not the best place to stay at it was a Sunday lots of noise ever thing was just not nice at all very rude receptionist nobody seemed to care but the food was really nice.
