  Poor Management

  I was in Pra Loup and for the second time at the Marmotel. Hôtel quite expensive (around 300/night) for a three star property. My main complain is about Internet. How come in 2018 no proper internet? I spoke to the manager who was Taking about his difficulty due to the line in town. LIE, I went to the « tourism office » and the internet there is perfect. Today internet is important as hot water or tv channels. It is not good to have such nice property but poor coverage. For others as FxB it was OK even if every day I have to complain for several things clos on buffet etc. Will not go there anymore, not recommended as well.

  Very good Hotel In Pra Loup

  Wonderful location, friendly atmosphere thanks to the staff. Wifi could be better and music a bit softer.. The Marmotel is improving year on year. which is important to increase the client base. Really a great spot!

  Nice short stay at Marmotel

  Good location for an active holiday. Nice, clean room with very comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Good breakfast with a lot of choice. Cozy decorated saloon in winter style. A lot of restaurants and bars near the hotel (in summer the restaurant is closed).

  A good example of a nightmare experience

  a 3 star hotel that based on my experience should not even be open for business. If you like a hotel where the checking scheduled for a large group at noon, will actually occur at 3:00pm, this is the place to go. If you're looking for a 3 star hotel offering no restaurant service (they say in the summer) this is the place to go. Internet access free but no signal anywhere in the hotel, if this is a thing for you, Marmotel is your place. Finally, if you want a hotel manager totally indifferent to the challenges you have encountered with the lack of the service provided, this is your place. Good luck.

  Not ready for an avalanche of cyclists, but very kind to an individual with an injury

  Chaos ensued when 200 plus cyclists descended on the hotel at 1-2 pm to check in and get a shower and a nap - and the hotel hadn't prepared, or added staff to get the rooms ready before the usual 4 pm check in. While I was waiting, a guy who had gotten a room came down to say the room was full of flying bugs - and he didn't get much empathy from staff, as they said they had no other free rooms, they were full. On the other hand, in the morning the staff was incredibly empathic to me - i had an injury and couldn't walk much - they walked me to the breakfast area, served me huge quantities of food to choose from, carried my luggage down to the car, and generally were really solicitous. It looks like a fun place to stay for skiing,cozy and stylish main area and bar, and right next to two lifts. ANd in the winter their restaurants are open - be warned that in the summer, they are not.
