  My wife and I stayed in the presidential suite and her folks in a regular room. Both rooms had poor sound proofing. Folks above us with poor parenting skills let their kids play soccer or something in the room until late. No one at desk after hours to deal with this and no returned phone call the next day. I had to confront the guests personally. Stay was ruined at this point. In our folks room they could hear every nuance the neighbouring bathroom. Such a shame, the marina setting is nice and the marina restaurant is great. I cannot recommend this hotel.

  Really not a hotel

  Stayed here twice, and twice too many. First time with my son to visit my granddaughter for a few days. We booked on vrbo as this place is actually a condo, where the owners if they choose can join the rental pool. There really isnt any hotel staff as such, just occasionally someone at the reception desk. First impressions were good, it had a nice kitchen, nice bedding and seemed very modern. The downside is there is only parking on the street and most of the time there arent any spaces. It is also quite a walk into town, there are a few pubs close by but nothing worth mentioning. Was basically satisfied with the place, until the second night, was watching Netflix on my iPad it wasnt loud at all. Suddenly there was stomping on the ceiling from above. At first I didnt think much but then it happened again. I then realized they must be able to hear my iPad through the ceiling. I was offered a bit of a deal the following year so decided to try the place again but only for one night. That was the worst night in a so-called hotel ever. You could hear every single sound from above, walking, talking, people chopping food in the kitchen, suitcases being rolled across the floor, not to mention a group of people below having a very loud party. I decided to write this review as I see three of these condos are currently for sale, and I do hope if anyone is considering buying they read not only my review but the others as well. We since bought a condo in Nanaimo and it is completely silent inside, both day and night.

  Nice big suite with comforts of a suite/condo but/flawed. I arrived at about 10:00 PM and was locked out . No one there to let me in . I rang and rang but no response . Eventually some guy came down the street who turned out to be an employee ( I wasnt told how he came to be there ) . It was a hot summer visit and the a/c was terrible . Not built in . Two portables so noisy I could not sleep and they never shut off . In the morning I wanted to sit , have a coffee and watch the news . But hot sun streamed in through flimsy curtains and I could not get comfortable . The staff is seldom at the front desk to help . It is a nice big suite with modern appliances . Comfortable bed . Good shower. But the a/c problems and the uncomfortable sitting area meant I just couldnt stay . Price was OK .

  After a couple of weeks of camping this was fantastic

  Lot's of bad reviews to be had about this place but for me and my family of 5 it was great after a couple of weeks of camping. Very modern and quite well thought out suite with all the things that you need. Yes there is only street side parking but that's just if you are to cheap to pay 10$ for the inside parking. My car was to big to fit though. Did not experience the noise problem at all

  not a hotel

  they say hotel but its a condo that people rent out...a joke! rooms to rent are NOT CLEAN. they have 3 total rooms to let. tell us how that is makes sense. The Buckaneer is a block away and way better.
