  Bad start

  When I booked these apartments I knew they were basic and yes for the money we paid were exactly what I expected. However I booked this holiday with Thomas cook last August booking a one bed apartment as myself and my husband were treating our 21 year old daughter to her last family holiday , when we arrived at 22.00 after a long day travelling all we wanted to do was drop our bags and head out for a meal , we were greeted by yanis who cheerfully told us we were in a studio I said no we had booked an apartment and was getting my paperwork out to show him he said no need I know what you have booked we only have studio it has 3 beds what more do you want? After a bit of an exchange and getting no where we decided to just take studio and sort it out in the morning I rang Thomas cook first thing and many more times in the day each time being promised a return call none came I spoke to Dimitri when he arrived at 11 told no apartment I had a rubbish day Finally rep arrived at 5 pm Sarah she was fantastic and to cut along story short she got us into an apartment at 11 pm that night . I cant praise her enough I do feel we lost a whole day of our holiday and also never made to feel welcome after that as I said the apartment was as I expected but had very little crockery we had 2 pint glasses and 1 bowl in a room meant for 4 people ?? I have never stayed anywhere that does not provide toilet paper also towels and sheets stained The view from our room was fantastic pool really good I could have overlooked the few negatives if only we had been given the room we paid for on arrival

  It's ok

  Got here 11pm from.gatwick.we was dropped of at bottom of rd was a good hike up the hill room.was crap basic going to change room.to day Greg not here and more yanni his.very help full.plenty of sun beds beach good hike down hill.its very hilly.proble will not come back.find Better one bottom of hill Blackpool next year.we stayed in room with no number.and shared balcony.( Not Good ) from Keith/Annie .   Absolute Dump

  Arrived there late in the evening, the guy there just moaned at us for making him wait up. We stayed in a studio which had a lovely view but that was the only good thing about it, the bedding was dirty, beds rock hard, hardly any cutlery ( one cup was a mini eggs one you get free with an Easter egg) the fridge was filthy and noisy. We didnt have any running water one day and as we had been at the beach all day we needed a shower but were told that we would have to wait until the morning, so we couldnt even go out for our dinner, no apologies just a shrug of shoulders. On the day of our departure there was no one around to even hand the keys to.Maybe we should have left them with the cats that were constantly wondering into the room.

  Good value basic accommodation

  Stayed during September for 2 weeks self catering. Our room was an upper floor studio in block 4 with excellent views of the bay, mountains and Pefkos. It was clean and reasonably well maintained. The air conditioning unit appeared to be relatively new, although we didnt have the air con as there was reasonably air flow through the studio with the ventilated balcony door shutter down and the small side window open. We were advised the cost of the air con was 10 euros per day. A safe was provided in the room for 10 euros per week. The studio was cleaned daily, except Sunday,to a satisfactory standard. Towels would be changed when required if left in the bathtub. There were a few occasions where the clean towels we received had visible brown stains, although were changed the following day. Clean sheets were provided twice weekly. Staff: Generally the facilities were managed by Yannis and his brother Dimitri who dealt with customer queries and worked the bar. They were both characters and in particular Yannis who often joined us and our friends in conversation when he wasnt busy. Pablo the cook made some lovely food from the menu provided. Location: Close to the centre of Pefkos where there are a few mini markets and several lovely restaurants and bars. Beaches were about a 20 minute stroll away. Pool: Large pool and small kids pool with plenty of comfy padded loungers available, never had to be up early to get loungers. Generally we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay with friends and family. Although the studios and apartments are a bit dated, everything worked in the one we were allocated and given the location of the Marianthi we found it to be very good value for money and would stay again. Its also noteworthy that a number of other guests we spoke to had stayed before.

  Very disappointing second stay

  My husband and I stayed here in 2018 and had a lovely time . We stayed in a studio that was basic and dated but it was comfortable and fairly clean and it was cheap and we had the loveliest guy called Greg who managed the place looking after us so we were happy . We returned this year and as it was a special occasion I paid a lot more for an apartment in the new block ( Greg had showed us them the year before ) I thought what we would get would be a far superior and cleaner and newer room than the one we had the year before . Unfortunately because all of the rooms are not cleaned properly and there is no maintenance or upkeep the new rooms which are only a few years old now look like the old ones . Our room was on the ground floor next to some private accommodation that looks like a house , there was a constant stream of people day and night going in and out and making deliveries and it was really scruffy with all kinds of rubbish outside . The outside seating area outside our room was used by the maids for all the washing, cleaning products and rubbish , it was awful . (See pics ) After two days we asked for our room to be cleaned as it hadnt been touched and the bins were full , this took another two days before it was cleaned , all the maid did was empty the bins and replace the towels . Our room wasnt actually cleaned or the beds changed during our whole stay . The most disappointing thing for us though was that Greg wasnt there , Greg was a really lovely man and nothing was too much trouble , he made that place what it was . The guy whos replaced him is really horrible and unhelpful to the point of being nasty if you have a problem . We asked if we could keep the room on on the last day as we had a late flight and he wanted to charge us 40 for the afternoon ! Its only 13 a night for a room here ! When I asked did they have a shower room we could use instead he told me to use the outdoor shower by the swimming pool and get changed there ! Needless to say we wont be going back .
