Loved this place! This is a fabulously quirky place to stay in a brilliant location. You are near lots of bars and restaurants and on a sunny afternoon there was a lovely relaxed chilled family vibe. We stayed in the Viking room which was fantastic... yes the room was small but for 1 night was perfect. Secure parking was just around the corner and there is a restaurant on the ground floor although we only had breakfast there. Our room overlooked the square so was a little noisy but they provided earplugs and I slept really well. Definitely recommend this place if you fancy something with a bit of character.

Mixed experience, but overall OKThis is a cosy hotel in a really pretty, central location in Helsinborg. Very festive and with a nice restaurant nextdoor (which we tried), as well as the tapas restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel itself (which we didn't try). The initial impression was warm, cosy and welcoming. The room was decorated in a classic, 19th century look, which was quite pleasing to begin with. However it soon became evident that there was a deep rumbling noise coming from outside, which was quite disturbing in our room - it caused a vibrating effect that even had the chandelier in the ceiling softly jangling. We queried it, and the member of staff on duty came up to have a listen. He didn't seem to know what the noise was, but said it would stop at 10pm (we were not sure how he knew this, if he didn't know what the noise was). However, at around 10pm he returned to say that he had investigated, and the noise was coming from some freezers, and would be on all night. To be fair, when we asked to move rooms, he agreed straight away and we quickly moved to another room which was decorated in a completely different style (70s disco!), and looking out on to the square. Much better view, much better room, nice and quiet. The bed was comfy and we slept well, but we did wonder why we were put in the noisy room to begin with when they had others available. It seems surprising that they wouldn't know that this was an issue, especially given that another review here mentions it (with response from hotel included). Breakfast was quite simple but fine. Overall, a nice place with lots of character, but avoid Room 15! Our second room was no.9 and that was fine.

Little gemWe recently visited family in Sweden and drove 2 hrs to spend the night in this quirky hotel. It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Yes the rooms are very small and maybe more than 2 nights stay might be to much but what it lacks in size it makes up for in ambience. The staff were lovely and friendly and the place had a real warm and cosy atmosphere. The rooms were clean and tidy and very well stocked from complimentary toiletries to ear plugs and hair dryer. Not what you would expect from a small 3 star. The continental breakfast was tasty and they even served a nice English breakfast tea which went down a treat. I would definitely stay at this lovely hotel again if we were to ever visit the lovely city of Helsingborg again
