    Not a good choice

    |Info about the hotel: Marhaba Resort Sharjah 3* is located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. It belongs to Al Khalidian Tourism Group, who also operates the following hotels: Al Khalidia Palace & Marbella Resort. The hotel phone is: +971 6 528 5533.| Actually, the UAE hotels become more and more expensive every year. It forces some people to search for a hotel which gives a good rate to save the money (though I hardly imagine how you can save the money while going to such an expensive country). Marhaba Resort is one of the cheapest 4* hotels in Sharjah, and the ads say that it's only 50 m from the beach, which is a very good location for a cheap hotel. But this is just a part of truth. To be honest, it looks more like an overpriced 3* star with some traits you need to keep in mind before booking. 1| it has no territory. Absolutely. Some photos can deceive you, but this is the truth - it's only a building with a pool and a tennis court, nothing more. 2| the beach is 100 m from the hotel, and it belongs to Beach Hotel Sharjah. So you get a little part of their beach, not your own. 3| I can't say that I'm a capricious man, but the breakfast&dinner in Marhaba Resort is a waste of time&money. There is choice, but it looks and smells bad as if you are in a cheap bistro somewhere in downtown. I don't know what their all-inclusive looks like, but think twice - do you really need it? Sadly, there are no shops or restaurants beside the hotel, so you have to pick a taxi to Sharjah-city (it'll cost you 6-8 DH). 4| the pool is very hot all the time. It's under direct sunlight, so it's never cold. I don't think it's good for a country with an average +32. 5| staff is sometimes good, sometimes bad. Nevertheless, the room was always clean. 6| sometimes there's no cold water in bathroom. Looks like they don't have a boiler - instead, they get hot water by having big cans on the roof of the building, where the water is warmed by the sun. So the water is cold only at night. :) I can't say that I was very disappointed - it was a business trip and I didn't waste my own money. But if you plan to book it for a holiday - you'd better book Beach Hotel Sharjah or Ajman Beach. It's cheap, but gives you a possibility to enjoy your own beach.

    Very Bad Resort

I would recommend anyone considering to stay in Marhaba Resort to hold back and do not book. The resort has very dirty rooms with no TV. Rooms stench and unbearable. The refrigerators in rooms are out of order. The air conditioners are also in very bad shape. It has no functional restaurant. Staff is impolite.

When you reserve don't think that you will have it

I reserved a room for new year eve thinking will check in at 16.00 then go to enjoy new year in eve In Dubai. When I arrived the two young men at the reception said that they do not have any room available. I asked for the hotel manager they said that she went home. I found out that the owner was in the hotel. When I saw him he was apologizing to a group of six families, who had the same problem, telling them that the manager is new and messed up everything. He told me that he is a Muslim and I am a Muslim, " we are brothers and I shold wait. I was waiting because all the surrounding hotels were booked. Then I heard him talking to someone on the phone that he sold the rooms for double price and ignored the ones who booked for regular price. Until 20.00 I didn't have a room, at the end he offered me that he will pu a roll away bed in a room which didn't have a bathroom. I was so disappointed because it ruined my new ear eve. I do not want anybody to experience what I went through. If you really want to stay in this hotel, do not trust your booking. I didn't go to their room, so I can't say anything about it.

    January 2016

I went to stay with my family for a couple of days expecting the worst out of the hotel after reading previous comments. We were a group of 16 , and surprisingly enough , our rooms were prepared before hand and it was done well. General Manager was on her feet to help us out with everything we needed. I would personally like to thank Ms. Mariam for all her help. We had all three course meals from the resort and it was splendid. I recommend everyone who wishes to spend time in Sharjah next to the beach to book this resort. Enjoy :) x
