  We had only one night at Marguerites but would recommend it as the surrounds are lovely and the hosts provided a clean and tidy ensuite room and delicious breakfast . There are a few very pretty spots nearby to explore and and a good restaurant, the Church Restaurant, close by in town.

  Lovely B&B!

  Marguerite went above and beyond in accommodating us. The room was quite big and spacious, and the breakfast items were plentiful (and delicious!) The scones are also freshly made, as Marguerite bakes them the night before and serves them for breakfast. Baltimore is just a 15-minute drive away, where whale-watching off the coast of Cork is a very popular attraction. HIGHLY recommend!

  Quiet in the country, plus knitting!

  This was a lovely place to spend the night! We knew that this B&B was listed in the Irish Tourism's list, but we didn't know where it was. We stumbled onto it by just driving thru town. Marguerite is a lovely woman and made us feel so welcome. She gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner (The Church). She made us tea after our dinner out...really a welcoming hostess. Our en suite room was very nice and quiet. We loved that we were out in the country, even cows in the field next door. Her full Irish Breakfast was delicious! Wonderful scones! AND she is a fabulous knitter and crocheter. We ended up buying two beautiful little sweaters for our two new great nieces.

  A lovely stay in Skibbereen

  This bed and breakfast was easy to find with helpful signage. The rooms were clean and homely and the host most welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious, generous, home cooked breakfast.

  Perfect Host

  What a lovely lady Marguerite is. We arrived early but that was no problem, our room was ready. Such a lovely room too, yes the bathroom is a little small but I don't spend my hols in a bathroom. It was perfectly fine for our stay. Can this lady knit and crochet ? You bet she can! I started off getting 4 of her beautifully croched Christmas angels, then I went back and got another 4 ! Her knitted scarves and hts were beautfully made. We decied to walk into town (abourt 15 minutes) but she offered to take us and pick us up after we had had dinner - this was very kind of her but we decied to walk (we needed to walk off all the delicious food we had eaten on this road trip). Now this was something we didn't expect from our host, she really is so very kind. Her breakfasts were wonderful too. We would stay here again in a heart beat.
