  Beautifilul Small Home

  We spent 5 nights in Mare Monte with our friends. We loved every minute of our stay. The hotel is nice and very cozy, especially the terrace with the pool. Rooms are clean and nicely designed, the the breakfast is served to your own terrace! The owner and the staff is very nice as well! We do recommend!

  Wonderful week in a beautiful place

  My husband and I have just spent a wonderful week staying in this beautiful boutique hotel , ( room 5 ) the rooms are exactly as in the pictures , the host was very friendly and welcoming the breakfast was delivered direct to our room every morning at our chosen time , every day was slightly different omelettes, pastries,rolls , boiled eggs , fruit , fresh juice and coffee all freshly made and hot , the rooms and hotel areas were spotless , in golden beach resort there are more than enough tavernas serving typical Greek cuisine at good prices , thassos in my opinion is exactly as Greece used to be

  A perfect stay

  We spent 5 nights at mare monte small boutique hotel and we loved it. Its a small hotel and Maria and Fay were perfect hosts. The hole place looks supernice and very clean - the details are amazing. The location is at the hill (small hike and good accessible by car) overlooking Golden beach - impressive view! We had the superior room Nr 2, directly next to the pool. Perfect for chill out. The breakfast was served in front of our room - something different every day. Thanks again and we would definitely come back!

  Nice boutique hotel if you like it quiet

  Stayed here during corona in September. Very nice and decent rooms. Checkin and breakfast was contact less. Very professional. The view from the junior suite is amazing. Great home made breakfast and extra wishes recognized. Walk to the beach is about 5 minutes. You have to know its up the hill so need moderate shoes. For us this was no problem. Therefore you got a top location. Also by car no problem. Would defiantly take the junior suite or up not the rooms next to pool because of privacy lack although they might be good as well. Of course its no star hotel with a 24 hours reception but if you got a good deal just go for it.

  Lovely, relaxing vacation in Thassos for those who want to explore the area, not have it all at the hotel

  I was impressed by its architecture and bright colors, first of all. A boutique hotel with several rooms, a quiet, zen space with nice decorations and lovely view of the sea and the village, situated on the cliff. It has also a small clean pool, perfect for someone who wants to sunbathe somewhere less populated. There is a parking space dedicated to the hotel several meters away. Mare Monte is in walking distance from nice tavernas and a cool beachbar (Cielo). The host was extremely nice and helpful, giving us recommendations for places to go, which we eventually followed. Everything was spot on and I will certainly go back there, especially for the breakfast, which arrived every morning in the room, at the time of our choosing. Also, the internet was flawless, which is actually a big thing on the island. I cant remember the last time I had such a wonderful stay..
