  What can you say when everything was great the hotel the staff Sofia, Alexandra and Stefan among others they are all fantastic the rooms we had were excellent the view from the balcony was good the food excellent and were it is situated is the best just minutes from everything have booked for next year.   Great place to stay if you like more independent living with no usual hotel restrictions

  The place is awesome . First I was a little iffy since when we got there there was a drain problem in the bathroom and the pipes system in general is pretty dated. But they react so fast to any complains or troubles their residents have it was great we came back from the beach and all was fixed with no questions or reminders. All and all you truly feel like a part of a big family there where the staff knows you and is always asking how you are and really genuinely interested in your complete satisfaction. You are not just another guest like in the regular big hotels. The staff is small so you get to know all very well, most speak good English and all try their very best . Of course the manager Mrs Stavrula is amazing and she truly goes above and beyond to make sure guests are happy. The cleaning staff is also so nice and hard working especially Linda. And omg the kitchen staff they are just amazing , always polite and cordial and the cooking is beyond anything you can try at the touristy places all over Crete, its trully tasting - home cooked. The living space we got is pretty basic, it was a bedroom . Lots of space in the living room with sofa, 2 balconies one in the common space and one in the bedroom , tv in the living room is a smart tv having Netflix and YouTube, but the rest of the channels are limited to few French, Russian and Greek and UK news channels . The bedroom has a tv but its not working and also keep in mind the bedroom has a very weak WIFI connection so no movie watching there. In The rest of the place WiFi remains strong. The kitchenette is basic with mini stove great for heating Up baked foods, kettle , coffee maker and odd pots, pans , cutlery and dishes . Also to keep in mind , no Microwave and the cups are tiny just about 200 mls each . The fridge is very small and not great, the freezer doesnt keep temperature no matter how low you set it , so keeping ice cream there wont work . They clean rooms daily during the day so all the towels can be changed and needed supplies given. There is an AC in the bedroom if needed though we never had to use it though the temperature in a October was around 24 C daily, but the two balconies provide great flow of air so its not hot . Also to keep in mind few things those are not great. The end of October is the end of the season and Mare apartments actually close till the spring for guests , so dont book it close to the end. Also the off season means Meal Times are very short and sparse and not much food available in between so we ended up keeping extra snacks and drinks in the fridge The breakfast in Off Season is 8-10am, Lunch 13-14, Dinner 19-20. There are drinks and some snacks and ice cream available at the bar on the first floor at various times though. Another thing that was not the best is that during meal times though it is an all you can eat buffet the Drinks are provided by the waiter and have to be asked for . They are very fast to refill the drinks but its still Inconvenient. And also NO HOT DRINKS during Dinner and Lunch only soda, water, beer and wine . All the hot drinks might be available only at the bar in the lounge area. That was very inconvenient too. Of course at the apartment itself you can always use kettle to make a hot tea or coffee Other than that the kitchen like I mentioned before is amazing and the main chef Alexandria is so good , her sister Sofia also a cook and a waiter is the main hostess at the restaurant and she is an amazing person and extremely friendly and polite. All the kitchen staff is very genuine and helpful. Breakfast selection stays pretty much the same , but lunch and dinner varies all the time with mostly traditional Greek dishes of lamb, chicken, pork, beef and vegetarian dishes and also varies side dishes and an array of salads and little appetizers those are always delicious and plentiful Food is extremely fresh and NOT like in many buffets where you can see the same ingredients being reused over and over in different dishes different days. The seafood dishes were especially amazing for me, like the fish in white sauce and fish with lemon and garlic sauce baked, octopus and calamari fried and in salads . Always a huge variety of fruits and desserts and bread available. They truly make the very best of the small buffet space they have and the whole restaurant feels cozy and homey nothing like the regular buffets you see with rows and rows of foods at other hotels or restaurants Some other amenities are nothing much but its not really expected. The pool is tiny next to the lounge area and not heated, lounge is cozy and has a tv and few books there- great place to hang out in the evening. You wont need to really spend the time inside since there are so many things to explore, the apartments are literally right on the beach and everything around in downtown is walking distance. We walked all over the city while being there and I really recommend not to stay in downtown in the touristy area but venture up into the city and explore the local streets, attractions, shops and cuisine Made apartments are truly is an amazing place with a honey feel to them and the stay makes you enjoy everything around and bring back home amazing memories

  Absolutely recommended

  Beautiful clean hotel with a helpful staff and a convenient street parking nearby, close to the sea. There is also a pool for all customers. Very good breakfast served by Sofia and her staff that are very kind. Very clean rooms and very high sleep quality. Perfect wi-fi. Unfortunately for them, this year we were their first customers on 26th July due to the covid and in my opinion this is really a pity cause the facility and its staff could deserve better.

  Better before covid???

  Hi first visitors on 26th July 20 for 2 weeks AI since lock down. Told first in room since deep clean. Not that clean! Smears on mirrors and tiles, rubbish under sink and balcony not cleaned. Due to covid cleaned 2 times per week but other than clean towels and linen still missed rubbish and balcony sweep. If it wasn't for Sofia who worked so hard in restaurant would have less stars. 4 guests in restaurant all inclusive table by table go up for food was fine but as hotel filled up became difficult to get food particularly as dinner 7pm to 8pm and lunch 1pm to 2pm. Have stayed in many AI but first time tea/coffee restricted to 1hr per day too. Food was generally fine and drinks brought to you at meal times. Bar was unmanned most of time and had to 'bother' receptionist to get a drink. Night gent was much friendlier. Pool area very small and only room for 6 loungers. Beach shingle at Edge and in water, 15 euros for 2 beds and brolley. ammos beach walk further along coast is sand and much better. Hotel has many steps as does terrain around it. Does have cocktails but sweet ready mixed. It was great to get away but not convinced any extra efforts made on cleaning and arrangements for food and drinks.

  A piece of Paradise

  Beautiful spacious rooms, staff friendly and welcoming. Especially now, in this Covid times, the breakfast is tasty, abundant, and well assorted. But the most wonderful is the view on the sea. It is so nice to be awaken by the sound of the waves on the shore...
