Charming place! We've been there for a holiday, actually we were passing by Galway, and I've booked this place. So we went there for a night after a long journey around some Irish's touristic places. It's a warm and receptive b&b. The onwer is a amazing lady that explain everything that you need to know about the region, so we had a great time there!

Truly a Disappointment x Three! Our reservation was for 5 days. We were greeted warmly and brought to our room. Over all, this B&B is clean and breakfast is good. Our disappointment stemmed from 3 experiences: 1) although the advertised parlor for guests, is indeed available, it is 'only' open for guests during breakfast hrs. Before/after those hrs, the parlor is 'locked'. Once we asked if we could sit in there until breakfast, roughly 10 minutes, we were allowed access, but with a bit of a frown. Your choices: either stay out & about until bedtime or stay in your room, with one straight chair and a TV which did not work...the innkeepers said it was working with previous guests; Was there an implication there? Didn't bother to pursue the issue. 2) Our breakfast time requests were 'always' asked for the morning before, when we weren't sure of our next day's schedule. We were pushed into deciding a time right then! Once our next day plans included early pick up by the tour bus. Previous evening, we requested our breakfast 15 minutes early, stating the reason why. The husband said that would be fine. We sat at our 'assigned' table (yes, everyone was assigned a table in which the wife wanted you to sit...no arguments!). During our breakfast, both my husband and I were told in no uncertain terms, breakfast was served no earlier than 8:00 AM. I told her not only were the breakfast serving times 'not' provided to us, but her husband accepted our request the prior evening and did not appear to have an issue with it. She actually argued she had provided breakfast hrs. Both my husband and I felt as though we had been scolded, like children! Three other B&B's we stayed at were most gracious in offering breakfast earlier, if need be. 3) Free Wifi is also advertised as being offered. Wifi was non-existent, folks! Normally, this would be a mild irritant. However, our daughter was admitted, very unexpectedly to hospital, during our stay and the sole resource for wifi connection necessitated us being in a pub or other public establishment to receive updates on her condition. Again, when we complained, the answer was the same as the TV not working. Other guests had no problem! After giving this review a read, either spend your hard earned money and take the chance of being scolded with a sure chance in connecting to their 'advertised' wifi or be a wise sole and look elsewhere for a much better value for your dollar, franc, etc. Our decision was decided before we checked out. BTW, we would have checked out after our scolding, but there were no other B&B's with vacancies.

Worst accommodation EVERVery old fashioned no heating on beds were very uncomfortable far from clean .. old quilts and sheets .. we checked in and went to town when we came back they had entered our room and left a note on a ripped piece of paper saying the clocks were going back ... when I pay for a room I expect privacy during my stay ! Breakfast was awful and had a weird taste sausages and bacon well past it's expired date .. tea even tasted like dust tea pot wasn't washed obviously when we came down for breakfast the OLD woman (owner) was obnoxious towards us telling us we were 30 min to early for breakfast her husband had asked what time did we want breakfast and said it was over at 9.30 so when we arrived at 9pm .. we were met with a very nasty reception by his wife border Line shouting that we obviously didn't put our clocks back and what were we doing there at 9 ,,, honestly stay away from this place ,,, from the min I entered the room I said I wouldn't go back ,, but to enter our room while we were out and the attitude of the owner was just terrible .. 80e for that stay ,, I wouldn't give 8e to park the car there .

Comfortable accomodation for 1 night - no longerAs a couple we stayed here for 1 night in July 2019.This accommodation is a nice house in a lovely residential area with about a 20 minutes walk to the beach & restaurants. We were met by Noreen who took us upstairs to show us our room. Our room was clean but very basic with old linen and the bathroom was tiny. There were notes on the bedroom wall with various rules of the house. There was the usual kettle and cups on the cupboard, but no power point to boil the kettle there. We had to take the kettle to the closest power point which was on the floor on the other side of the room. There was no where to sit other than on the bed. I asked her if they had WiFi - she gave me a very, very long complicated password to write down, and then told me that it wont work upstairs but should work downstairs. It didnt actually work anywhere at all. I believe there is no WiFi here. She stayed in our room far too long, and we felt that she was checking us out, and all we wanted to do was rest after a long day of driving. The breakfast room was well set up, albeit quite cluttered, but once again she was there telling all the guests exactly where to sit, Apart from a lovely cooked breakfast on offer, she had told us there would be 'usual fruit etc" for breakfast. What we found was that fruit was very limited and when we asked if we could have a banana, we were given a look of disapproval. We are in our late sixties and we felt she was treating us like children needing constant reminders of what is acceptable behaviour. There is free car parking at the front of the house. We would not stay here again.
