  Going that extra mile!

  This was the second stay at Maple Bank for my son and I. We spent a few days here last year and couldnt resist coming back this year, for a week this time. We were here for a walking holiday and the Maple Bank is a perfect base to take on many of the local peaks. We did a number of our walks from here and always enjoyed coming back into Braithwaite for a drink at the local watering holes, that also happen to serve terrific food too! Special mention has to go to Kate and her mum, for exceptional customer service that goes beyond. Apart from cooking a wonderful breakfast, Kate always had time to take an interest in us and our plans for the day and to offer advice and even books and laminates of potential walks She even bought us a map of the Wainwrights for us to tick off as we conquered them. The rooms are lovely, with fantastic views and nothing is ever too much trouble for our hosts. We will absolutely return once again. Its a fantastic base for exploring Keswick too. Thoroughly enjoyed our time. Thanks Kate, see you again.

  Excellent stay at Maple Bank

  Just back from a fantastic 4 night break in Braithwaite. Lovely host and beautiful breakfasts. Enjoyed Anns cakes after staggering back from our hikes. We were made to feel very welcome and were very impressed with the covid measures! Braithwaite is such a lovely location .

  Wonderful stay with fantastic hosts

  We have just returned from a 4 night stay at maple bank. We were welcomed with homemade cakes in our room, fresh, different, delicious ones every day! Kate, Anne and Tara couldn't have made us feel more at home. The breakfasts delicious, John loved the haggis! Lots of individual touches in the room, all added to making the stay so great. the covid information was clear and explained perfectly. Kate gave us lots of great tips for walks, etc, and nothing was too much trouble to make our stay memorable, relaxing and can't wait to come up to maple bank again.

  Had a lovely time, the rooms were all spotless. Breakfast was delicious, really enjoyed the haggis. The homemade cakes at the end of the day were very welcome. It was also very dog friendly. Kate, Anne and Tara were great hosts with lots of really useful advice. Id highly recommend Maple Bank

  What a Find

  We were so pleased that Kate & Ann were able to accommodate us at such short notice. We were delighted with the guest house. Kate is very on top of the restrictions for Covid-19. We loved where it was with super views and walks directly from the delightful garden which much thought has been put into making sure that it is dog proof, which was great for our Daisy May. The breakfast was great with lots of choice and a special sausage for the dog! We would not hesitate to stay again in this lovely guest house and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a warm welcome stay in The Lakes.
