  Gteat Place! For sure will come back again!

  We had an amazing time at Hotel Mantenia. Hotel is run by two very hospitable sisters and there is a genuine family atmosphere throughout. Our room was recently refurbished and had all we needed and more. We especially enjoyed staying in our balcony at sunset time. Hotel generally feels very spacious with beautiful gardens, swimming pool, bar and tennis court. We were lucky to get room with sea view. Beach nearby is simply fantastic, a secret gem: sandy, clean and with not so many people so sometimes it felt whole beautiful beach was for us. 3-5 minutes walk away you can find plenty of local shops selling all you might need: from local sweets to supermarket. We look forward to going back!

  Hotel Mantenia

  Hemos estado doce días en este magnífico hotel a mitad de junio. Muy familiar y acogedor. A solo 300 metros de la playa, donde directamente hay un restaurante. Retirado unos 500m de Platania donde hay muchas opciones para ir a comer y un par de supermercados y a 10 minutos de Rethymnon en autobús con una parada a 4 minutos del hotel. El autobús pasa cada media hora. El personal del hotel es muy atento y se preocupan realmente del bien estar de los huéspedes. El desayuno completo y fresco. Las instalaciones están bastante bien y la piscina es muy agradable. Muy recomendable si se quiere estar en un sitio tranquilo cercano a una de las principales ciudades de la isla.

  A very pleasant stay

  We spent one week in this lovely hotel. The neighborhood is pretty quiet. You need five minutes to go to the beach on feet. There were flowers and trees around the hotel, it was very nice. The swimming pool was great, calm and clean. The room was simple, but nice and clean. The bathroom had a good and comfortable size. All the employees of the hotel were really nice. The woman at the desk spoke well English and she was extremely kind and helpful. Our stay was really pleasant. It was a perfect trip! :-)

  Two weeks in this family run hotel - confortable and relaxing.

  The room was large, very clean and calm overlooking the countryside. The family made us so welcome and were always ready to help us. Breakfast with local eggs, honey and yoghurt delicious Sandy beach 5 minutes from hotel

  An excellent hotel with a positive atmosphere

  At this hotel I stayed twice, for the first time in the hotel room and now in the apartment. The hotel is run by two sisters and the atmosphere at the hotel is like you are at home. The hotel is located in a quiet environment, just 5 minutes walk from the beach. It is well decorated, it has a beautiful pool and a garden full of flowers. On the property is an old family house with two apartments. This is usually not rented, but I asked the owner to hire these two apartments. Unlike the hotel that is modernly decorated, with everything you need for a comfortable stay, the apartments are old-fashioned but with such a nice atmosphere, with old lamps, almost antique, with thick walls that allow for freshness and silence in the room. In front of the apartment there is a terrace covered with vines. If you like to be completely free, you will not make a mistake if you rent an apartment instead of the rooms in the hotel.I heartily recommend, the Mantenia Hotel as a jewel in the hospitality industry. I'll definitely come back.
