Nice but isolated locationSpend two nights here with friends, the hotel is very nice, comfy room, good food but didnt seem quite as friendly As some of the hotels we stayed in. Location lovely but a bit isolated a car definitely required.

Beautiful hotel..... no heart :(First of all the positives; Manor House is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting with comfortable rooms, public areas and good food. We enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast and the swimming pool/hot-tub. Unfortunately our recent experience left us feeling 'cold', mainly due to the service received and the impression that corners were being cut, using the virus restrictions as an excuse. We were a family party of 5 who visited the hotel to mark my mother's 80th birthday and my daughter's soon- to -be born first baby. Our original celebration plans (not at this hotel) had been cancelled, re-booked and cancelled again due to the evolving situation. I emailed ahead of our visit to advise the hotel of our special occasions in the hope that they could help to ensure that we could still have a positive and memorable experience. I suggested perhaps an early check-in/late check-out or any other special touches or gestures which I would leave up to them. My email was replied to by Siobhan who confirmed that this would be noted on our reservation but early/late check-in/out could not be guaranteed. We arrived at Reception (all 5 of us) and Siobhan herself went through the check-in and payment process with us. At no stage was my mum or daughter greeted with Happy Birthday or any other congratulatory welcome. We then hung around for 15 mins waiting to be given our room keys (just after 4.00 check-in time). There was nothing left in any of our 2 rooms (no birthday card, message of congratulations, small prosecco... nothing!). Arrived in the restaurant for dinner and were shown to our table. Again no acknowledgement from waiting staff regarding what we were celebrating. Finally at the end of the meal, my mum's dessert arrived with a small piece of chocolate on the plate inscribed with Happy Birthday. So that was it. Nothing else. I felt very disappointed especially after taking the time to let the hotel know why we were there. Of course we mentioned this at check out with Siobhan citing some examples of gestures we had received at other hotels in the past. Her response was to explain to us that no platters can be left in the rooms 'due to restrictions'. She confirmed this also applied to cards, written messages etc.! I don't know.... I'm wondering how is it possible to service rooms at all, including leaving bottled water, if the restrictions are so tight? We all left with the impression that this hotel is taking their customers for granted and not prepared to go the extra mile at all to make the guest experience a little bit more special. Although we are all restricted in our choice of where to stay in these current times, the Manor House would do well to remember that the customer does still have some choice on where to spend their money. A little bit of effort, a smile and a kind word at least, would have encouraged us to return and enhanced our stay. It's a pity any customer appreciation was notably absent during our stay.

Beautiful hotel, great stayWe checked in for 2 nights and were greeted by Rebekah who was chatty, friendly and so helpful. We had booked a junior suite and it didn't disappoint. I had requested a high floor and we were indeed on the highest floor and a fabulous view of the lough. We ate both nights in the Belleek restaurant due to it being the only one open with covid but the food both nights was beautiful. A few more vegetarian options may have been nice though. Disappointed no room service available so didn't leave many options for dinner as no bar food either but hopefully things will be back to normal soon. Breakfast was also lovely both mornings. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and all the bar, breakfast and dinner staff who served us were wonderful and chatty. We didn't book the leisure facilities this time but look forward to trying the spa when it reopens. It was our first visit here and we will definitely be back. Thank you for a relaxing stay!

5 Stars Amazing Christmas ExperienceWe stayed at the fabulous Manor House in December 2019 in between Christmas and New Year. We always like to take the family away for a treat during the holidays and although we only live 30 mins away we booked into the Manor for 1 night and it did not disappoint. Driving up the entrance my kids got excited immediately when they noticed the beautiful Christmas lights and reindeers at the main entrance. This excitement carried into the lobby area were the decorations were just magical to say the least. We quickly checked into our rooms which consisted of 2 rooms with interlocking doors just perfect for my wife and I and 3 kids. The rooms were well appointed with everything that you need. We went down to the bar for a few drinks before dinner and there was a piano playing in the background which gave a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. The next morning a fantastic array of food awaited us for breakfast we were spoilt for choice. Before we checked out the kids had to have another dip in the pool which was great fun and not cold as you can find sometimes in other places. All the staff we met during our stay were very friendly and couldnt do enough for you. Everything in this hotel just worked. Congratulations to John and the team we had a fantastic stay, my kids are still talking about it.
