nice hoteleven though the hotel has been mostly redone they could have made some better outdoor spaces available. The food was good but there is absolutely nothing else in the dying dilapidated town.....The staff was very friendly.

Lovely peaceful and comfortable hotelStayed at this hotel in July. Our room had a nice terrace overlooking the sea. The food was very good but would especially like to mention the helpful attitude when my wife was unwell and appropriate meals were provided in both the restaurant and the room. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful making for a very pleasant stay. We would certainly return.

Perfection? ....not quiteFirstly it needs to be understood that this is an expensive destination so expectations were high and which in many ways is worth the cost for the location and food alone. The dinning experience is simply superb, the food innovative, reflecting a strong local influence and packed with flavours and aromas that when combined with the stunning views from the dinning room (I recommend requesting a table by the window to watch the sunset) the excellent service and gentile ambiance, all makes for a fabulous and relaxed dinner. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a classic manner befitting the building and location and again those with views over the shoreline are just dreamy in their peaceful ambiance. The hosts and the staff are also worthy of great praise for their welcoming, helpful attitude where nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as it can be. So why not 5 stars? Well, if you pitch your business at the high end then nothing short of perfection is expected and sadly it is not without it's flaws. It was hot when we stayed and there is no air-conditioning so the room was very stuffy at night, there is no facility in the room to make yourself a drink and whilst well equipped the bathroom and some of the walls in our room was just showing signs of wear and becoming a little scruffy. Minor points I know and arguably I am being picky because it was overall an extremely pleasurable experience and we will take away fond memories of this place, just not quite perfection.

ALMOST PERFECT, except bad quality breakfast...Positive: 1. location, location, location.... 2. the view from the room, lounge and dinning room, 3. the restaurant ( don't forget to reserve the restaurant in addition to the room and do so well in advance or you will not get a table)...4. excellent chef, the food is creative and always good 5. excellent sommelier, with a passion for his job and is creative in his choices of wine (has a lot of potential) 6. Maître D'Hotel is serviceable, competent and pleasant. All in all the team is great. To be improved: 1. the breakfast is composed of industrial products (for example, industrial brand yogurts, purchased at the local supermarket). All the breakfast food was of inferior quality (for example, the ham, eggs and salmon). Also the fresh juice glasses were so small they could be shot glasses. Obviously, trying to save money on the breakfast. TOO BAD as this gives a negative image on the restaurant. 2. Not enough servers during the breakfast and in general, as they were always running, excusing themselves and we could hear them complain.
