  NO BETTER PLACE TO GO AND RELAX

  Mangrove Escape is the place to go if you need a real break. Perfect service, nice rooms,good food, good massage and nature around 14 days of ayurveda and the world looks better thanks to all staff for a great holiday Dagmar and Michael Albrecht

  Wow!!!!

  This is the place that made me want to write a review! We arrived by car and then we took the most amazing little ferry across the river. It was not a ferry like any other we had seen. The place is just amazing, there are 3 pools my favourite was the roof top one. We spent most of our time there. The view from the roof is fantastic by day or night. The Ayurveda massages i had were excellent and the view from the room while you have a massage is the icing on the cake. They have canoes and cycles that you can use. Its a lovely place to go for walks and the river is just literally down there. The rooms are spacious and beautifully done, the staff is very friendly and the food excellent. We will be back definetely.

  Ayurveda from his best side

  Is the best place to relax your self. A beautiful resort in the jungle. Hotel in the style of the very famous architect of Sri Lanka Geoffrey Bawa. The Doctor is excellent. She is a western doctor and a Ayurveda doctor. The Ayurveda treatments are excellent and authentic. A very good place to go.

  Do not book through Trip Advisor!!

  I DID NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL but it is a warning to everyone not to book through Trip Advisor / Tingo. We were travelling with our 1 year old baby and I tried to contact the hotel directly to confirm a cot, their email address does not work and only one of their telephone numbers on their website works. We left multiple messages for them to call us which did not happen. I called Tingo to try confirm the cot which they 'could not do' they said they'd leave the hotel a note, they could not provide an email address or call them for me, the number they provided was different to the numbers on the hotel website and did not work either. I escalated the issue to Trip Advisor as I booked from this website. They told me, (now) 3 days days before our booking that we did not have a room at the hotel and Tingo would get back to us with options within 24 hours. This did not happen, I had to make multiples calls and was passed to multiple people (probably spent about 3 1/2 hours on the phone) and the call was dropped many times with no return call. No options were sent to me and eventually I had to book a new hotel and am still hoping to get my money back as I 'cancelled' my hotel booking. I'd be interested to hear directly from the hotel as Tingo blamed the hotel for overbooking but I have no idea who is at fault, it would have helped if the hotel email or telephone numbers worked then this could have been resolved when I first tried to contact them a few weeks before our booking. The service I received from Tingo was shocking.

  Perfect Ayurveda Retreat

  Have stayed there for 3 weeks due to an Ayurveda treatment. Very nice location but also close to the beach (20min) by tuc tuc. Staff so friendly!! Location in the middle of nature with lots of different animals crossing the buildings (don't forget to take Pictures!!). Food has also been delicious. Only the new indian Management has Room for improvement. For an Ayurveda treatment absolutely recommendable.
