  Short break in beautiful wine growing region

  Stopped for 4 nights on a mixed work/ leisure trip. Location is stunning being right in the middle of Vineyards and overlooked by fabulous mountains. Hotel has been beautifully decorated in a modern style and has a spa and outdoor pool. We stayed half board which was good value for money. Evening meals were very good to excellent and local wines quite amazing. About 1hrs drive from Riva de Garda and similar to Innsbruck and the Dolomites so for a climbing/walking/cycling/canyoning holiday quite a good location.

  Nice location and rooms, expected more from dinner

  Stayed here for one night on a trip through Alto Adige. I was lucky to get a room on short notice, so I won't complain for the relatively high price. The half board included dinner, but being in a region of great food and wine my expectations were maybe too high. I would say the food was average. The live entertainment provided some distraction, so overall not too bad. The deluxe room in the traditional wing was nicely appointed and quite new. The view was mostly of the courtyard, so it's best to check ahead where the room is located. The property is quite large and includes a pool, volley ball, outdoor dining. The spa area closes too early to make use of it after a long day. However, bike rental are free. We were not able to get the Wifi to work on any of our plentiful devices, but that may have been a temporary glitch. All in all, would I go back, but would shop around a bit next time.

  Great Hotel

  The Mandelhof is very comfortable hotel with a pool and spa . Its surrouned by vineyards with views of the mountains . The restaurant is very good along with a full bar for that long missed cocktail . The rooms are large with comfortable beds .

  Weekend stay,two rooms--Italian daughter and marito in one, great colazione ecc

  Went 3+ hours from Milan this April--past Desenzano and Catullus's Sirmione, past Rovereto, up the Adige. Lovely vinyards all around, Merli/ Blackbirds doing their individual intervals, fourths and minor thirds etc. Great dinners as well, and very tasteful room arrangements.

  + great location with great views + nice garden with swimming pool + big rooms with comfortable bed + excellent breakfast with superb choice + grapes to pick straight at the car park + big car park + free wi-fi
