  Old glory

  20 years ago this was probably a nice hotel. They are installing a new elevator. Watertemperature was too hot or too cold. Breakfast and staff are okay. Beds are fine too. The owner is building a new hotel nearby, so in the future... Only book this hotel if you have a good deal (50 procent off)!

  Authentic Nepali Hotel in the heart of Kathmandu!

  Nice and clean hotel with very friendly staff. Perfectly situated in the center of Kathmandu. Hotel is designed in traditional Nepali woodcarving style. Very recommendable hotel with a standard worth more than 3 stars. : )

  Great position, poor rooms

  The hotel is in the heart of Thamel. I stayed there for a couple of nights before my trek and other two after: different rooms but same problems. Very old bathroom, not so cleam moquettes and very old A/C system. You may wait 5 minutes for hot water!!! Breakfast is various, friendly staf. Low prices.

  Very basic but functional hotel in the Thamel region.

  A group of us stayed here for 2 days prior to trekking and 3 days after trekking. The room I stayed in was basic but quite comfortable. There was a large bathroom with shower and bath, which was very welcome after 2 weeks trekking. The beds were comfortable and clean. We had a t.v. which had a couple of english speaking channels. There is free wifi, but the best area for connection was down in reception. This breakfast is adequate with bread, fruit etc. There is a nice outdoor area for sitting/chatting having a few beers. It is in a good area in the Thamel region. The hotel kept stuff we didn't need for trekking for us while we were away at no extra charge.

  Worst Experience

  I was there with my friends for some holidays trip and booked the hotel through some friends. When I saw the price, we thought it should be a better hotel, but when we entered the hotel it was not so expected. Staffs also not friendly. And the food was so expensive as compared to quality and taste. Too expensive for that service and hospitality
