  Good hotel for short stay

  It is an average hotel, clean and good equiped. Comfortable beds, convenient rooms, parking space. Poor breakfast but suficient. Rooms orientated in to the backyard are more quiet. it is not far from centre of the town.

  Good Value for Money

  Hotel Malom is close to the motorway, easy to find and has private safe parking. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We liked the room which had two beds with soft linens, a table and 2 chairs. It was also quiet (room # 11). The shower was tiny and something like a soap tray missing. WiFi worked perfectly well. The hotel also has an elevator. The breakfast was a choice of cold cuts, cheese, butter, jam, bread, yoghurt and cereal. Its worth to take the short walk into the town center with a beautiful town hall and church. Even though it is not fancy it is a perfect place for a stopover.

  Only for short stay

  I was my 4 visit there but the worse one. Room are clean but beds become older and less comfortable. There is no shampoo nor shower gel in the bathroom. The worse was this time a breakfast. Only two pieces of roll, jam and butter. There were also cereals but no milk no yogurth. Recieved cup of cofee was a problem, finaly receptionist went somewhere outside and bough it. So one or two nights in this hotel is maximum.

  Confirmed booking cancelled by hotel. What???

  We made a one night reservation via booking.com to Malom Hotel. I got the confirmation email, went to sleep... in the morning realized that we got a message from the hotel about the fact, that they are sorry, but the hotel is fully booked. I wrote an email and asked if it is a joke, and how this can happen, but did not get any feedback in two days.

  Saved by the bell

  On a long motorcycle trip, we experienced a break down. We were offered all sorts of help, but when push came to shove....we were stranded. At this hotel however.... In the morning the receptionist went all out. Driving from one mechanic to the next. After the fourth. He found a shop that was ready and willing. Fantastic. How often do you get down to earth service like that? I think this type of service deserves special notice. When on a trip off the beaten track and out of your personal element...that's when the hotel staff becomes your closest family. ..rooms we got were of a good size and furnished nicely. All clean. The weather was extremely hot, so A/C was missed. Tv had enough channels, but all were with voice over. Not the fault of the hotel. This you see all over Europe. Love the safe, closed off parking. Staff is a mix of old and young, with a relaxed attitude of wlllingness. Prices are fair value. 24 hr. Reception. We do recommend as a base for whatever you're doing here. Rolf, Bård and Kristen.
