otro punto de vista sobre EngadinaUn antiguo "grand hotel" reciclado internamente con un concepto de turismo de familias. Es una opción interesante para disfrutar de unos de los lugares mas exclusivos del mundo en modo relativamente economico.

Perfect place to spend a weekendDuring my stay in a weekend of January I had the chance to experience first hand the warmth and hospitality of this enormous, elegant and perfectly renovated Palace which is only a few kilometers far from the center of St Moritz. Perfect place to spend a weekend of skiing, skating or even hiking. What actually attracted me the most were the restaurant with its bio menu and the beautiful and bright veranda with its stunning panorama.

Cross-Country SkiingI stayed in an apartment at this hotel for around one week during early-February 2020. This consisted of a main lounge with an open plan kitchen, an adjoining bedroom and then a bathroom with both a separate shower and bath. The standard of the apartment was very good, with a particularly good fit-out in the bathroom. The kitchen was decent, and had adequate utensils, crockery and cutlery to enable us to cook frequently, as well as prepare breakfast. I suspect that the price we paid to stay would be similar for an apartment in a more conventional building. Accordingly, I felt that our stay was better value, as not only did we get a good apartment, but also amenities on-site, such as lounges, a bar, large wellness area and the option to eat in a restaurant. While the hotel in the past has been a very grand place, it has now been restored in a sympathetic way and presents as being orderly and clean throughout. We stayed during of course a very cold period outside, but both our apartment and the communal areas were well-heated with radiators from a central system, despite the hotel building being large. The wellness area was also good, with a choice of saunas, as well as a steam room. The hotel is essentially ski-in/ ski-out for cross country, and has a large ski room. Nearby are a range of amenities, such as restaurants and ski hire, while efficient bus services enable travel into St. Moritz in little more than twenty minutes. It was a pleasure to see this old building in good working order and seemingly being run on a sustainable basis providing good quality accommodation for a reasonable price. I would certainly stay there again.

Low value for money. The Maloja Palace was strongly below my expectations due to the following reasons: I asked for a family room for 5 nights, however. - The room I received was not aligned at all with the pictures available in the online travel platform for a family room: In the family room pictures, the living room was very wide and the bedroom was regular, however I got a family room with a small living room and a very big bedroom, exactly the opposite to my needs. I received the offer to change the room after one night, however, when I asked for the change, the person in reception told me that he had not been informed. - We booked a family room with 2 single beds and a double sofa-bed, however the room had 1 double bed & 1 double sofa-bed. - I booked for 4 people, however the room had only 2 bath towels and 3 blankets, I received the pending stuff in my 3rd day, only after complaining by email and in the reception several times. - Wi-Fi very poor. Summarizing, a poor experience with a very low value for money.
