  Muy bonito

  El hotel es precioso. No está en el centro. Las habitaciones son bastante pequeñas, pero muy bien decoradas. Fuimos en verano y el calor dentro del hotel era insoportable.

  Good time but could have been better

  My partner booked this for our surprise engagement he had planned. He made the hotel aware before we arrived. We got engaged the day before and were looking forward to out much needed night away. We booked in the date night package. The staff were very polite and friendly on reception. We were given room 32 which we couldnt find so a staff member gladly helped us. The room was very nice but not very private as it was on the ground floor right in front of the car park. A few small improvements in our opinion... The bed was totally solid and uncomfortable and we didnt enjoy the pillows. The fridge didnt work (the man did arrange for it to get fixed but it still wasnt cold). and the shower gel in the shower was full of water. the mirror in the bathroom was also very rusty. I had a bath and the water was freezing cold even though I left it running on hot for ages. There were some rose petals on the bed but nothing special for our engagement which was disappointing. We went for tea and breakfast which was really really nice. I think the food saved this trip, if it wasnt as good as it was, then we would probably not return. We were going to come here every year as an anniversary but not sure if we will.

  Lunch

  Had the most delicious lunch today 5th December. Kasia our waitress was superb and looked after us, she was so friendly and helped with menu choices. A credit to the hotel! We will definitely return soon.

  Christmas Afternoon Tea

  From start to finish the afternoon tea was beautifully presented, delicious and had enough savoury and sweet to suit everyones tastes. The staff were attentive and nothing was an issue. We were even given boxes to take home anything we couldnt eat which was a lovely touch. Even though we didnt get fizz due to Tier 3 this did not spoil the ambience and we were able to have a mock tail which really looked like the real thing. It is terrible for hospitality the loss on revenue due to Covid and I for one will definitely be visiting Malmaison when Restrictions allow as I really found everything just spot on. My thanks to Chantelle, Brasserie Manager for her superb help with the booking and to her team.

  Service and Staff Amazing ...

  I cannot fault each and every staff member who delivered excellent service, were very responsive and always with a fantastic attitude. However - while I absolutely appreciate during Tier 4 restrictions a reduced service is appropriate - when staying for multiple nights the food choice really was poor and not of great quality. 3 choices of mains which was not varied . Continental breakfast was lovely. But the thing which I really feel lets this hotel down is the bed - absolutely rock solid - please look at perhaps adding luxury mattress topper. I found myself using the duvet to add some padding.
