Nice place for economy classQuiet and peaceful place. Rooms are small, but the nature around ir is amazing. Hotel has small pool, but 50 m till beautiful beach, with a lot of Thai restaurants and bars. Nice place, for those who don't care much about rooms and care about location

Beautiful beaches ...It's a beautiful island , you can feel the nature far better than coral island in Pattaya . Very less people as compare to coral island . Beautiful beaches ...one of the best place I have visited in Thailand .....

Few days awayThe island was amazing, and the service in the hotel was great as well the only problem we had was with the transport from pattaya to no samet which is through malibu resorts travel company, coach was over over booked and had bags on our knees for a 2 hours coach joureny to the boat, Apart from that the beach is stunning so peaceful and relaxing great for a few nights away :)

Nice little hotelWe booked this very last minute on what it seemed a really busy weekend. We didnt have much choice in accommodation on the whole island. It turned out to be ok. The pool was no longer there and it looked like they were making alterations all over the hotel. The accommodation was basic but adequate , the air conditioning worked and was cold ! The staff on reception were really friendly and very helpful they sorted us a moped and booked the tickets for the ferry back. The breakfast was Thai but they did have an egg station with omelettes and fried or scrambled egg so we were fine! ( just cant stomach noodles or curry for breakfast!) The hotel is right on a beautiful beach , the beach is very busy with speed boats dropping and picking up all day, if you prefer a quieter beach try further along the coast and get a taxi from the main pier. This did mean however, that at night there is plenty of choice of bars and restaurants right on the sand.

Review for the most hotels in Samed - this included!!Samed Island is close to Bangkok and truly has a tropical island feel to it (unlike Phuket or Koh Chang which are so big they feel more look like costal town). This one you can almost put in your pocket and bring home with. Due to this Samed is busy year round and is popular among weekender Thais from Bangkok. This then equates to higher hotel prices year round despite of quality of hotels that are far below to that of big islands like Samui,Phuket and Chang. I have been to this island about a dozen times in last 15 years and know the lay of the (is)land fairly well. Unless they start to go vertical this small island is pretty saturated with limited number of properties and rooms it has to offer. I do not have any favorite hotels so to speak. A few months back we made a last minute plan and this was the only hotels with available rooms. We paid 2000 THB for a basic room with an A/C. Like many other hotels nearby this hotel, that I have stayed at in the past, it is nothing special. It is on the beach but most of the villas are in a ways. So don't expect to be seeing crashing waves from your bedroom window. But plus point is that its quieter than the rooms that are closer to the beach. Rooms are big enough. Breakfast is dismal - but then again that's what I come to find in most islands of Thailands. Expect service to be minimum at best to non-existent to rather rude at worst. Most of the the hotel owners here look jaded. Even a foreigner who has a coffee shop in this island (with petty high TA ranking - not sure how!!) has an attitude you would not believe. They can afford to be like that because the demand is there. Again the draw is because its closer to Bangkok and beach with extra fine white sand and turquoise waters. There are a a few resorts in the island which are in 300-400 usd range where you may find a better food and service. Not sure - havent doled out that kind of cash. Go there to enjoy the beaches not necessarily the hotel I say.
