Great HolidayThe Malhun hotel is situated at Calis beach. There is a long promenade with many nice bars and restaurants gift shops and supermarkets. It is buzzy yet not rowdy. Good for families. The beach is stony as are all the beaches down this part of the coast. The hotel itself is pleasant with a nice big pool but not many sun beds so you may find yourself sitting by the pool at a table. Plenty of sun beds on the beach in front of the hotel. The rooms are a good size, clean (although not uncommonly shower tray mould was present) with tv, fridge, ensuite shower etc and balcony. Some nice views if you are at the back of the hotel over looking the pool and beach. The hotel has a annex over the main road which has a small pool open later in the evening but you may feel a bit isolated if over there. Best to be in the main hotel complex. The food was generally good if you are a meat eater but not so great for Veggies or Vegans. Breakfast is the same every day with boiled eggs, sausage, cheeses, tomato, chips, bread and jams etc, and scrambled eggs if you are at breakfast before 8.15am otherwise it was all gone. Dinner was good with a lovely array of various salads and usually a couple of meat selections and BBQ's periodically although limited protein choices for veggies & vegans. Some chick peas and beans were occasionally available. The location we found very good and easy access for the dolmus bus service which is excellent. The hotel is about a 25min ride on the dolmus from Fethiye town.

Excellent hotelPerfect hotel on the beach. Very nice rooms and great good. Recommended for families! Kind staff, clean and big pool. Calis is beautiful. Much cheaper than Oludeniz although it is good to combine the two regions.

Awefull hotelIt is with an heavy heart that I have to say this but after 25yrs of comin to turkey this is the worst hotel I have ever been to. Didn't t realise that the economy annox is a totally separate building and being disabled need the lift. Enquired about moving into main hotel and even offered to pay upgrade fee to save the pain of walking up stairs. Was told 3 days and they would move me but they didn't did the full 14 days in the economy room where I had to climb stairs. Hired a mobilty scooter and was asked if I could carry the scooter up to the room to charge it. The man on reception was very put out cause I asked to charge it over night and he had to find a socket. The staff are awefull not one can hold a conversation in English or even understand the basic English.not one was sympathetic to even my basic need after sending emails 4 months before I went to organise the rooms would have paid anything to get a ground floor or even a lift but there was no help. There was only me and my 2 daughters spoke English so found it difficult and frustrating. The maids did there best to clean the shabby out dated room and let me know on the 12th day that she wanted tipping for the work she had done. I'm totally digested and very upset I suffer from ptsd and was hoping it would be a nice holiday but turns out to be a very upsetting and lonely holiday. Would say it's in a good position for beach but I have nothing else to say about this hotel been a bad experience for me avoid it. The pics below are of the sink in shower full of manky hair and filth wish I'd took more pics but was to upset. Plz don't go.

Hotel Very Dishonest - both rip off and con merchants. They over quoted by 350% compared with what my friend had already paid for the same deal and to what other similar nearby hotels were charging. Then when we questioned the charges they were aggressive but with poor English. Eventually after they had conferred in Turkish they appeared to reduce the bill by 50% but then pretended my credit card had been declined the first time and put through a 2nd payment so they could still take the original inflated charge! They then refused to provide a printed receipt only the credit card slips. Our bags were being held hostage (including my friend's one) and this was at the time when due to the Thomas Cook crash we were anxious not to miss our flight home. My credit card company have raised a dispute as they are refusing to refund the 2nd unauthorised payment. The room was adequate except for the air con dripping water on my bed. The breakfast was fine other than they ran out of scrambled eggs halfway through breakfast on 2 occaisions and refused to replenish them. Apple tea was provided on request but sometimes they attempted to charge for this which I objected to as the coffee and so-called orange juice were undrinkable. Although the hotel is beachfront it is a bit far from the centre. No-one seems to speak English well and most of the staff not at all. Do NOT book direct and preferably stay elsewhere! Although we had a good time in Calis Beach this experience with the hotel has put me off visiting Turkey again.

A big disappointment. We had saved for two years to be able to afford a good family holiday, there was myself, my wife, my 16 year old daughter and my 14 year old disabled son. on arrival we were put into the annexe in four separate single beds, fair enough the next day they moved us into the main hotel. THE ROOM. the room consisted of a double bed in one room and bunk beds in the other, double bed was comfortable enough, my daughter was on the top bunk and complained that the mattress was uneven, the mattress was actually too big for the bed. CLEANLINESS The cleaners did a good job in the rooms and we were happy with it. FOOD Well as an experienced chef all i can say is what a let down, more concerned about saving money than providing good food, breakfast was the same every day, so was the evening meal, over cooked pasta, over cooked stodgy rice, chips, bean casserole, chicken and very occasionally beef patty. STAFF reception, unhelpful, not interested. Waiting staff were ok up until it came to pay for the beverages, bill comes to 18TL give them a 20TL note change goes into their back pocket, 15TL bill give them 20TL note and yes the change still goes into back pocket. POOL Didn't get into the pool, couldn't use the loungers as they all had towels on then from before 7am, asked the receptionist if the towels could be moved, was told they don't approve of towels on loungers but didn't do anything about it, GENERAL No air conditioning turned on in the reception area during the day, happy to have a bloody big fan themselves during the day, no lights on either. If you do go to Calis Beach i would recoment Sunset restaurant, nice food, friendly service and not pushy.
