  Break away after COVID 19

  Visited here with family needed two family rooms but was a mix up with the booking in the hotel, the receptionist wasnt very friendly at all, obviously didnt want to be there or deal with the issue. Went to the side office and came back out but said very little. Got sorted after rudely being told the room is not ready but to being given another room. (The comment of the room not ready was not needed) Got to our rooms which were fine nothing fancy but clean, or room was set up for 5 which we didnt need wile or other partys room was set up for 3 which we needed while they needed the 5, called exception but nothing done (no extra bedding or attempt to get their room set up). The night team did bring up bedding after we called them. The bathrooms need a bit of a updated while the shower water power was too strong and painful for kids. Dinner was ok, bland menu, very expensive for kids but food was ok with breakfast being nice and lovely staff. Think she was a manager. Over all nice hotel for a stopover but highly let down by the front office member of staff who did put a bad start to the stay.

  Overnight stay

  We stayed last night as a stop off en route to Kilkenny. Had no particular expectations but have to commend the staff for their friendliness, especially Jennifer who was working in the restaurant during our evening meal and breakfast. The food was lovely on both occasions. Best apple tart I've had in ages! Thoroughly recommend this hotel. Didn't use the pool on this occasion.

  Excellent service & Food

  A very relaxing and enjoyable weekend break. Staff were extremely friendly & professional. Great value and partucular thanks to the breakfast chef on Subday morning. Breakfast was one of the best we've enjoyed in a long time!! Children loved the pancakes & nutella. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

  Excellent service

  Stayed in the hotel recently for work purposes. Sunday morning I had breakfast in the restaurant and received a delicious breakfast. Jennifer made me a lovely Americano and went out of her way to make sure I had everything. I was very happy with my stay and would recommend to colleagues.

  DONT TAKE DEBIT CARDS OR CASH?? 2020!

  Terrible, travelled off my journey to reach the hotel. The reception asked me twice had I stayed here before, work in the health sector myslef, said I couldnt stay here because I didnt have a credit card. A colleague booked into the same hotel without one the same day. I asked if I could give them cash or use my debit card but they said no. Booked into the nearby hotel instead. 2020 hotel needs to get with the times. Or at least keep the same codes for everyone.(consistency!)
