  Wonderful staff

  The best about this resort was the staff. Consider, polite, and attentive. The accommodations were very nice: we had a 2 bedroom/2 bath with kitchen. Sitting on the deck (small) was nice in the morning with coffee. It was good to relax - although it might not matter in Hawaii, where one is go, go, go!!!

  Great property BUT WAY TOO far from everything!

  If you plan on staying on the resort you will be fine, but otherwise this is a location that is an hour from the airport... and the airport is sort of a more central location. PLUS the Princeville area is smack in the middle of the RAINY side of the mountains. Daily rain fall was 4+ EVERYDAY while the eastern and southern part of the island have sun. Consider your goals of travel and if daily Monopoly is NOT on the agenda, book another location! AND... the resort is over run with chickens and ROOSTERs that awake you from 5AM on with their NOISE!

  Troons at Makai

  What an awesome 2.5 mile power walk with marketing manager Lindsey yesterday morning as the sun was coming up on the back nine of Makai golf course! Lindsey did an excellent job taking my friend and I throughout the beautiful scenery. She included many interesting facts about the birds, culture and mountains. We finished with breakfast and again hearing about many forward thinking ideas Lindsey has for their property! We cant wait to join her next year! I would recommend the walk to anyone at any fitness level!! Lindsey is truly a valuable asset to Makai!!

  FITNESS Run with LYNDSEY

  The Makai is a beautiful golf course with amazing views of the ocean and mountains!! Took the morning fitness walk/run with Lyndsey she was so knowledgeable of the Island. Lyndsey had great ideas for the future of the course and is a true asset to the club.

  Great Golf Connection

  Makai Golf offers the absolute Best in golf instruction - led by Andrew Schmidt. We conducted a private lesson for my wife & grand-daughter with excellent results. Andrew has a real talent for teaching and provided great instruction. He also teach's groups in several special sessions during the week that are worthwhile and reasonable...so if you need any golf augmentation & instruction...this is the place to go...
