  Spectacular, fantastic, and cannot wait to return

  Raphael has done an amazing job renovating this 300 plus year old building. The rooms have an amazing attention to detail. We stayed in the double room on the first floor with lovely shower with stone floors. When we return, we will book the room on the highest floor with its' own deck and spectacular views of Courmayer. The breakfast was fantastic with local cheeses, and fresh juice. Would highly recommend staying here!!! We were doing an 11 day trek of the tour de Mont Blanc, and Maison de Saxe was by far the best place we stayed. I felt awful coming into his amazing home so sweaty, but Raphael was great.

  A Home Away From Home

  Words probably don't do justice do this wonderful location. Raphael's communication right from the beginning, to his warm hospitality during our stay, made us feel so comfortable. We were looking for a quiet place which was cosy and not too far away from the main town centre. This was exactly what we had hoped for. The views from the suite were breathtaking! Everything about this space is quaint and well thought out. Thank you so much for the wonderful time we had. We will be back again!

  Outstanding

  We stayed at Maison La Saxe for one night as part of our 11 day Tour du Mont Blanc. This was our favourite stay of our whole hike. As others have mentioned before, the b&b is beautifully restored with the greatest attention to detail and provides local/organic toiletries and food products for breakfast. Raphael was a warm and friendly host who made us feel very welcome despite our muddy boots and no doubt not smelling our best after 4 days on the trail at that point. He gave excellent directions and recommendations for places to eat. This b&b is a short distance from the centre of Courmayeur but with directions from Raphael, it really only took 10 minutes to walk into Courmayeur. We really look forward to coming back in the future.

  Special place

  This centuries-old home was a real haven for my mom and me while hiking the TMB. Raphael was lovely and wonderfully accommodating, and the room was gorgeous. La Saxe was one of my favorite areas on all of the TMBone could really get caught up just wandering the little cobblestone alleys. The breakfast at Maison La Saxe was one of the best we had for all of our TMB experience; Raphael goes to the market each morning for fresh bread, cheeses, jams, yogurt and cream for some fantastic cappuccinos. The shower was like heaven after a days hike, and theres no shortage of great dinner options nearby in Courmayeur. Thank you to Raphael for opening up your home to visitorsI wish I couldve stayed longer!

  Couple

  This was our third visit ( including apartment at Dolonne ) So second time in the wonderful top floor bedroom, which is so cosy full of character a perfect place to relax. The weather last weekend was not really June-like but no matter, just the place to watch the rain come down and kick back. Raphael, was so helpful especially in these covid times , helpful with restaurant suggestions etc. If youre looking for a small, friendly , cute and character Accommodation in Courmayeur , Maison La Saxe is for you
