  Southern charm.

  Delightful small B&B, decorated to a T, private gazebo on the water. Could use a bit more attention to outside details, but otherwise a great choice. Will stay here again if lucky enough to be in the area. Great little breakfast area shared.

  Great place to stop by in the Cajun country

  A perfect stay at La Maison des Amis in an authentic bayou house, but comfortable and warming. A very good stop in the Cajun country's. We had the breakfast at Chez Jacqueline which was a very nice experience too.

  Vintage style inn

  Restored extensively more than a decade ago and needing some further TLC, this inn provided a comfortable, convenient place for our recent visit. While breakfast isn't served, vouchers are provided for a wonderful local cafe , and coffee, tea, ice, Etc , are always available on the glass enclosed porch. While the owner is not present, very responsive and pleasant local managers provide any needed assistance during your stay. We really liked our comfortable queen bed front room with very large private bath.

  Lovely place

  The house and room are old (renovated) and super charming. There is a gazebo/dock right next to the Bayou with fantastic rocking chairs. The caretakers are very kind and take great care of the place. Breaux Bridge is a really interesting town. There is a kitchen available to guests, along with free drinks in the fridge. It's super clean, and there's a wealth of information available in the house about the nearby attractions.

  Low-key, fine stay in antique-y Breaux Bridge

  Breaux Bridge has seen better days, mostly antique shops, but things are looking up as old buildings are repurposed into new eateries and the like. This B&B fits right in, historic and refurbished and funky. First, it's unfair to compare it to a new purpose-built B&B with live-in hosts. It's historic, gently remodeled so it still shows that history, and the hosts live nearby. They provide a fine breakfast, but they're not present to serve you; either a voucher for a restaurant a block away, or you'll find breakfast makings waiting for you in the common area/kitchen, everything you need including coffee and tea. Pay attention to these details, if they matter to you: rooms 1 and 2 share a thermostat (I don't know about the others); rm 1 where we stayed is light and airy, as are 3 and 4, but 2 might have only a single window; rooms 3 and 4 have private baths but they're located off the common area, not the rooms. Everything is clean, everything you need and expect is provided, the hosts are friendly, helpful and responsive. It's not yuppified or the least bit pretentious. Walk around the downtown blocks, enjoy the food and friendly people, tour Lake Martin - this B&B is the perfect experience to match.
