  Buena relación calidad-precio

  El hotel, aunque un poco antiguo, está muy bien situado. Las habitaciones son muy espaciosas y cómodas. El desayuno, muy bueno, y a un precio sorprendente. Está localizado a 10 minutos del centro histórico y a 15 de la estación a pie, y se encuentra delante del rio, con muy buenas vistas de las habitaciones en ese lado del hotel. El gimnasio está muy bien equipado, y bien conservado.

  Location is good, but just an average hotel

  Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Everything in the hotel was quite basic. There was no AC, so it made a bit difficult in a hot summer day. Insulation was not good. We had a city view room, and could hear car noise all night. Staffs were friendly and helpful. It was within walking distance to major sites and restaurants.

  Excellent !

  I have to say, previous stays in Mainz, have included, The Hilton pricey, but you get the usual brand with friendly welcome and great service & more recently Ibis, basic but clean, friendly and surprisingly comfortable bed, even though the room was small. I arrived at Mainzer Hof, with mixed feelings of hope & anxiety having read the reviews on here. All I can say is this hotel must have taken notice and has had a radical uplift, the room is huge with a sofa, table and chair as well as writing desk and flatscreen TV. Quality laminate flooring, very acceptable contemporary wardrobe and furniture. Very firm and comfortable bed. The bathroom is also an incredibly large room, a separate bath with shower head and then a second walk in shower, all spotlessly clean and again modern fresh new tiling, fixtures, fittings and flooring. I cannot find a single fault, on my first night here and will definitely be making this my regular business hotel stay in the future, as Im here on a weekly basis. Much cheaper than the Hilton, obviously, however it is still cheaper than the Ibis, which is remarkable. Just 2 small points, there is no hotel car park, though there is a public one a stones throw away, Im sure cheaper than 20/ night at other hotels. Secondly the Internet is chargeable in the room, however 8 for a 5 night stay again is very good value. Well done Mainzer Hof Hotel, definitely more than 3 stars...... will try the breakfast with excited anticipation tomorrow morning.

  Lugar agradable

  Muy lindo lugar para comer y tomar cerveza! Ubicado a pocos metros de la catedral de Mainz. La atención es excelente. La comida muy rica. El lugar es agradable, pasamos un lindo momento, sin dudas volveremos!

  A Fantastic Find and Comfortable, if unexpected, stay in Mainz

  We found ourselves stranded in Mainz after our van broke down and needed somewhere to stay while it was being repaired. We spent the first night in the Hilton Mainz and searched the next day for something cheaper and nicer and stumbled upon the Mainzer Hof hotel. We ended up staying for 3 nights. I am so glad we found it. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful and the rooms are perfect. The hotel appears to be going through a refurbishment with some floors unfinished however this did not detract from our stay and I would definitely come back to see it finished. There is a panoramic restaurant on the top floor in which currently only continental breakfast is served but will be a fantastic dining restaurant when the hotel is completed. The rooms are all recently refurbished and spotlessly clean. There are no frills such as drinks or irons in the rooms but there is free fast WiFi, television and hairdryer and we were able to bring in our own food and drinks. We were lucky enough to have a room with a balcony overlooking the Rhine Ideal for spending the summer evenings with a bottle of wine watching the river boats. The hotel is situated on a busy road but the rooms are extremely well soundproofed and with the windows shut you cant hear anything. The only downside to that is there is no air con in the rooms at the moment so could get very warm at night. We however slept with the doors open and there was very little traffic to disturb you at night. All in all a perfect find for us and one of the cheapest in Mainz at the moment. I have no doubt the price will rise when it is completely finished and justifiably so if they continue with the great standards set so far.
