  THIS PLACE IS A DISGRACE!

  This place is a disgrace. We had an elderly family stay here and she was treated horribly to the point of elderly abuse. The management was cruel, unfair, and extremely unprofessional. We registered a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) because management declined to speak with us personally. Management responded to BBB with lies and conflicting reports. We asked for a full refund after being quoted a lower rate for our family member and being charged over $200 per night for 1 person. We waited 2 months for them to make good on our request before I wrote this review. Do not waste your money on this place as they do not stand behind their business. Even upper management will not stand behind this HORRIBLE business. Total disgrace!

  Nice location and comfy rooms

  This hotel is conveniently located just outside if town. Staff is friendly and the coffee is always on. Since the rooms are all suites they are very roomy and have a kitchenette. We were here for only one night and would stay here again if we planned a longer stay. Only a few downsides. Like many location the lighting is insufficient due to the use if energy saver fluorescent bulbs in the lamps and overhead fixtures. A switch to daylight LED bulbs would fix this issue. Secondly it took over ten minutes of running water before it heated up enough to get in the shower and the bathroom sink took just as long. That is a big waste if water. Fix these issues and a five star rating awaits.

  Dog friendly/people friendly

  We stayed here all week because it was such an easy place to have both our dogs! Good places to walk them. The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean. We had a dog room and it did smell a little dogish. I think it needed a dehumidifier in it and wouldve solved the musty dog odor. Having the kitchenette was awesome! They had some breakfast items. Dollar General has gone in just down the street. They have a nice pool area. Wouldve been great if it wasnt so cold out! We will stay here again as long as they allow our fury family!   Nice stay, feel at home with the ability to cook on a stovetop. Good for an extended stay for sure. Best spot in port saint joe to stay. Breakfast as well which means " oh yeah". Raise hell, praise Dale.

  A Night I'll Never Forget

  Two days ago, we stayed for one miserable night here. I booked a queen bed room for a night and paid for it online. When I went to check in, the process was not smooth. I advised the front desk person that I had already paid online for my room. She wanted my credit card anyway and ran my credit card again. She was puzzled when the computer software rejected her attempt to double charge me for my room. She FINALLY discovered what she was doing wrong and then tried to blame her lack of knowledge on computer glitches. It literally felt as if the A/C was in bed with me, it was that close to the head of the bed. I don't like the experience of trying to sleep in a wind tunnel. I jammed a bed pillow over the front of the A/C unit to block off some of the air blowing directly into my face as I lay in bed.. This hotel needed a more skilled architect that knew how to design commercial building HVAC so the guests would not experience this level of discomfort. Front desk needs training also.
