  Really lovely lovely place and lovely people. :)

  Really lovely place to stay. Really nice and clean dorms and facilities. Maggie and Amila and so lovely and are more than happy to answer all your questions and give advice. I had such a lovely time staying here. For not much extra Maggie made me lovely breakfasts too. There is a really nice local place to get lunch/dinner just up the road. Maggie also said that I could use the fridge etc if I wanted to cook lunch/dinner myself and there a supermarket very close by. The common space is a really nice place to chill out and meet other travellers. At one point, as it was raining, Amila got us to all make paper boats and we floated them outside on the path. He then taught us to play Carom and we all chilled out together. It is just a short bus to Galle (only 12 rupee I think). It was really lovely to meet you all. I would definitely come again.   RECOMMENDATION!

  Go to this hostel!!! The rooms are pretty and quiet modern! Everything was very clean. Unfortunately I had a very uncomfortable mattress. Though I heard the other ones were better and if you take a look on the whole stay together you can easily forget the problem with the mattress :D The hostel is pretty big, theres the kitchen, a room with a big table were you can eat, a room with fans to sit and relax and there's the amazing terrace. You can easily spend a whole day there just laying around :D It was already off season but still I met a lot of backpacking people there. There's a supermarket only 3 minutes by foot and a local restaurant only 5 minutes away. The guy who worked there as a host was very very friendly! He helped us also finding the right connection to go back to Colombo the other day.

  - not at Galle Fort where the Touristcentrum is, but busstation close and takes 15 minutes to the Fort - good rooms, lockers don't work but it's okay, you can store your luggage - in offseason it was very qiut, almost noone in there - cosy common room - kitchen with fridge - nice garden

  My favourite Place in Galle :)

  I stayed here for one month in total and I really love this place. The terrace with the view in the Garden is amazing, the rooms are nice and clean and Maggie, her small Hostel-Family (plus the kitties and Dobby the Dog) are friendly and very helpful with everything! The local Busses leave a few meters in Front of the hostel, It takes 10 minutes to the city (less if you take a TukTuk), so it don't need much time to reach the Fort or the market! I really really recommend this place and I ll definitely come back :-)

  Maggie place- secend home

  We spend 3 night at maggie even though we plaining stay one night at galle. Why?? Because it was so quite, and maggie and the stuff was friendly and welcome. They let us use their kitchen for everything and help us with great recomention about galle city. It was great time to get away from the busy days of our trip, get a good rest and eat well also!
