  Magalies manor has a beautiful setting, exquisite rooms and amazing views and setting. You definitely get more value for your money. I would recommend for any business or leisure traveler. A must visit

  Quiet with such potential

  My wife and I needed a weekend away to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. The hotel is quiet with large rooms as standard. Well appointed and very comfortable bed. Breakfasts are hearty and (for us) made to order - room service was optional. A open fire in the bar made for a cozy afternoon. In summer the two pools could be a lot of fun with the one specially designed for kiddies. The staff is ultra friendly and do what they can. Gardens with river running past many units bring a good ambiance and birdlife. The loop on the surrounding roads is just on 10km... a great run at sunrise. A few little but noticable things could have detracted from the weekend - housekeeping needs a checklist. Had a much needed rest!

  midweek break

  The venue was peaceful and unhurried. Piet was an courteous host/chef and the kitchen produced a outstanding evening meal and breakfast spread, even though we were the only residents during our midweek stay. A real pleasure.

  Awesome

  I stayed at this hotel for two days. It is so quiet beautiful and serene. The pool could have done with some cleaning but other than that we had a massive room right next to this mini waterfall that just made the morning sounds so beautiful. Sifiso at reception was so friendly and always had the brightest smile it was always great dealing with him. One thing though they need to ensure a guard is always at the gate 24 hours. We had to leave at 4am one day and had to hoot and bang on doors till someone came to open the gate. Cant really fault them giving no one is moving about at that hour but otherwise awesome place. Do also try the spa had an awesome massage. Great weekend away.

  I would not recommend this place to anyone

  I booked in 1st February, for a wedding, I left Magalies Manor around 15:15 to attend the wedding, upon my return later that evening, the staff member/s that came in during my absence to turn on the lights, had gone through my personal belongings, two sets of gold studs had been taken, as well as cash I had in coins. I reported this Sunday morning early when I left. To date no one from Magalies Manor had bothered to contact me regarding my complaint. I had then phoned them, the manager was rude and eventually when the General manager called me, she had stated my complaint that the receptionist had written down stipulated nothing had been taken, with this being said the GM laughed at me over the phone and the customer service was absolutely disgusting. Granted I am furious and not in a friendly mood, as I have had to follow up with them continuously. This hotel is ridiculously expensive, not worth the money paid and the staff think they possess the right to go through the guests personal belongings. I would highly recommend alternative accommodation and not use Magalies Manor.
