  SIN PALABRAS, INCREIBLE UBICACION

  Increible lugar, increible vista! Ojala me hubiera podido quedar mas dias! La mejor vista de Knysna sin dudas! Y nada como el Honesty Bar!!! No duden en quedarse en Madison Manor! Nos recibieron como si fuesemos amigos de siempre, nos hicieron sentir como en casa, del primero al ultimo! Mil gracias!!!!!

  Heaven help!

  Yes, the view is spectacular but please - dont eat there! A frew of my friends and me went there for my Birthday. Wow, what stunning view! We where a small party 8 people and we booked in advance. We arrived around 17:30hrs for a lazy afternoon/evening. We where the only guests. One Waitress, one runner, one Chef af another kitchen help.... We took our time to order and still where the only guests. Eventually our meals arrived, in dribs and drabs - at least 60% of the meals had things missing or where down right not edible... No manager in sight. The waittess left half way through for whatever (break time??) Leaving her poor inexperienced runner to cope. Finally the Chef came out, apologising , trying his best. We asked for the manage. Answer: oh, we are sorry, perhaps he is " playing golf"... really, when its already dark outside??? The poor staff (chef, kitchen aid and runner ) tried their best. At some point the waitress returned ... Shame man, in the end the staffe came out to present a song to us, presented me with a slice of cake (very sweet but edible) and a bottle of red wine. Very much appreciated but still, no manager in sight. By now they accumulated another four patrons... When we left my friend tripped over a small step she didn't see as the outside light was broken. Many apologiese - manager still no where in sight. All in all: we as a group had a great evening but the food was really sublime. Staff left alone yo cope.... safety issues ... n No, I cant recommend this restaurant - and we are locals!!! Sorry. We eont be back and we wont send out of town friends. I feel sorry for the staff! No idea how they cope in season...

  SIMPLY OUTSTANDING

  Been coming for years to Knysna but never stayed up on the "hill", this trip we stayed at the Madison and am now kicking myself for all the years that I have never stayed there. This is a superb family run hotel and to be honest could not fault them on anything, well perhaps one thing, please put menus for your restaurant in the info books in the room. I recall we had room 12 and it truly had a superb view from the extensive balcony. Our room was exceptionally well equipped and found the staff to be most helpful. Cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our 2 night stay and will certainly be staying there again when next in Knysna. If stopping over in Knysna then do your yourself a favour and enjoy a night at the Madison, you will not be disappointed.

  Fantastic

  A beautiful hotel, sparkling clean and extremely well maintained. We booked for one night and stayed for two! Very friendly manager onsite and an exceptional owner whom we met. The rooms are beautifully decorated with Knysna antiques. The breakfast was tasteful and a very good helping with tables also well decorated. The beds are comfortable, the wifi met our needs. The views from the hotel are spectacular. It is a short drive into town where there are many shops and restaurants. As hotel owners ourselves we are very critical and always look at the detail and service. We could not fault anything at this hotel and we will be back here when we return to South Africa.   CHARMING PLACE! (MAY 2018 WORK STAY)

  Booked the place via recommendation of the local office unit. A Boutique hotel run by a family. Very warm and friendly people. Reached from the George Airport a bot late. The manager attended very well and allotted the room. Nice room with a stunning view of the Knysna City and Waterfront. Breakfast was served in the hotel's restaurant by a very friendly chef who was also fond of Bollywood songs! You have to inform them in advance for dinner. I did for one night and it was brilliant. Enjoyed Amrula, the local liquor at the bar. Well attended by the service manager. Good time spent talking about the place, city, South Africa, politics, economy and India! Followed by 3 course meal dinner! Had a gala dinner arranged by the local office unit. It was good and we enjoyed the hospitality. Very nice place to spend quite and relaxing time. No kids allowed under 13 (if Ia m not wrong). Very good place for a quite and relaxing stay.
