  My husband and I stayed here for 1 night and we couldn't fault it. The rooms are modern and comfortable equipped with cooking facilities. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. Excellent location, everything in walking distance. Very comfy bed. Thank you very much

  Wonderful accommodation and great hosts

  We have just spent a week here and we couldn't fault it in any way. The location is perfect and surprisingly despite being on the main strip, was fabulously quiet. The accommodation has everything you need and Jo and Gary are fantastic hosts. Having had to cancel our first booking due to COVID, Jo and Gary were great at shifting our booking with no fuss at all.   Awesome Hospitality in the best spot in Port Douglas

  Our first visit to Port Douglas to stay and we lucked it in booking into Macrossan House Apartments. Gary and Jo are the best hosts who did all our bookings for various trips including transfers from and to Cairns. Their recommendations on the Mossman Gorge tour were spot on. The apartments are clean and quiet and yet only metres from the restaurants, shops and pubs. We will definitely be back and can only highly recommend this place.

  Great accomodation, central, super friendly, fantastic room. Loved it.

  Stayed here October for a 5 days. Beautiful room, fresh and modern, great bathroom, great bedroom, spacious living room. Easy underground parking, super friendly owner operators with great insight on the best sights and activities.

  A Gem in the middle of Port Douglas!

  On our second holiday in Port Douglas we wanted to stay in town rather than outside the town, we didnt want or need a car so staying in town really suited us. We were 3 couples holidaying together for 10 nights. Macrossan House is right in the centre of town, with the apartments back off the street so there is no street noise. The location is perfect, a couple of minutes walk to Coles and the bottle shop and no more than 10 minutes walk to any other part of town for restaurants, coffee shops and other retailers. The apartments were lovely, good kitchen with fridge, microwave and hotplate and all the cutlery/crockery/glassware and utensils that we needed. There is a lounge/dining area with a large TV (very comfortable) and all our rooms had a balcony (I believe all rooms have balconies). The bedroom was large (we had a kingsize bed) and the bathroom was large also with a great vanity unit with a huge amount of storage. There was plenty of closet space so that we could unpack once and be very comfortable. The bedroom has air conditioning with a ceiling fan but the lounge/dining only has a fan. However, the air conditioning unit in the bedroom was big enough to keep the entire apartment cool. The pool area was lovely and very quiet and the spa at the end of the pool was great. There is also a fully equipped BBQ in the pool area but we didnt use the BBQ. The apartment and the entire complex is spotlessly clean. We didnt have a car but there is parking available downstairs. The free wifi worked very well. Our hosts, Jo & Gary were amazing and really made a huge difference to our stay. They were so helpful as they know the area very well. They helped us to book a couple of tours and recommended places to eat. We really appreciated their help and we look forward to our next trip to Port Douglas and Macrossan House.
