  Very comfortable room & friendly staff

  We spent two nights at Macquarie Barracks and couldnt have been happier with our room, the amenities on site (including a pool) and the friendly service. I rang in advance to ask for a microwave in the room and Julie was more than happy to accommodate my request. The room was comfortable and spacious, and had a nice setting where we could sit to enjoy the outdoors. This is my second stay here and I would definitely return.

  Perfectly pleasant and surprisingly quiet

  For an overnight stay, the Macquarie Barracks Motor Inn is perfectly pleasant. On arrival, we were a little concerned that we had been allocated an upstairs room facing out to the main road - but we needn't have worried for as soon as the door to our room had been closed, all sounds to the outside world were quickly shut off. The lady on reception was especially helpful in her recommendations; however I might suggest avoiding the convenience of going to the pub next door as the food there was not at all good (not the fault of the hotel I hasten to add).

  Stayed one night as last minute choice - it was a good one!

  Had to make a stop on my driven from Queensland south, and decided to wing it and not book. Even though it was not school holidays, the hotel was still pretty busy and for good reason. Comfortable bed, good service, friendly staff, clean and perfectly presentable. Order dinner from restaurant as room service and it was tasty too. Great experience. would stay again. :)

  Nice motel and great value for money

  This is very well presented motel, with good in-room facilities, representing great value for money. It is clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly. Didn't experience the restaurant so can't comment on that aspect. Like others I was a little concerned about the potential for road/pedestrian noise in the rooms right by the street, but it wasn't an issue in practice. Book direct with the motel and save yourself and them some money.

  What An Excellent Hotel!

  We recently stayed for a few days with our young kids as a quick get away. The staff are friendly and the room was clean and very comfortable! It was the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in including some of the biggest 5 star hotels in Australia. I can't find any faults at all and we will definitely be staying again on our next visit to Port Macquarie.
