  Stop over

  Arrived late with a four month old. The staff are so friendly and lovely however the rooms are really not great. I put five spiders out the window with two running over the bed. The window was broken and would t shut properly. The hotel rooms could do with an upgrade.

  Needs work

  I used to love this place. I had my wedding reception here. 2 New Years partys. 5/6 adhoc nights. Plus my wife use to meet colleagues there. If we went looking at it now for our venue we wouldnt have booked it. Not the same feel. The staff were good but not as good as when we got married a few years ago. The Decor is now in need of replacing Also there was a leak in the dinning room which was disgusting with little mushrooms growing from what was obviously a long term leak. Needs closing down an totally refitting. The steak I had was the fattiest piece of meat Ive ever had. You couldnt swallow it. It just wouldnt break down in your mouth. I wouldnt stay there again in its current condition Shame really

  Bed Bugs prevalent Sadly not what one would expect from a chain company Bar staff pleasant, as is the location ....however struggling to find anything else to post a positive comment Hopefully next stop heading north be better

  Very Comfortable Hotel with Great Views of the River Ribble

  This is very comfortable, recently refurbished hotel. It is right at the side of the M6 but because of its position does not suffer from traffic noise. It is alongside the River Ribble. The room was spacious and bright and scrupulously clean. Staff were friendly and welcoming. There is a pleasant bar and the dining room is called the Scottish Steakhouse. Strangely on a Sunday evening there are no steaks on the menu which was rather disappointing. That said the food we had was good though if you put battered fish on crushed peas it makes the batter soggy. Would I go again - definitely and it is a great location for exploring the Ribble Valley

  Comfortable hotel with excellent customer service

  Spent a pleasant three nights at The Tickled Trout, the hotel staff were professional, extremely friendly and provided excellent customer service. The room was comfortable, albeit a little tired in places and depending on which way the wind was blowing, one was aware the M6 wasnt far away. Social distancing and Covid-19 protocols were in place as were numerous hand sanitising stations. The manager and his hard working team are to be congratulated on continuing to provide a high standard at these uncertain times.
