  The...

  The best holiday ever!!! Everything here is so perfect! We have had such an amazing stay and are sad to be leaving Always such amazing weather and never a struggle to get a bed by the pool! The entertainment was great, something new every night and Natasha has so much energy and so nice, immediately became friends! Thanks so much Lydia Maria for such an amazing holiday, hopefully see you again!

  Friendly hotel

  I wouldnt rate this as the 5 star hotel status its been given, food in the restaurant is very German orientated, get to breakfast early or your left with scraps, the grill restaurant upstairs is great nice Gyros and burgers the pizza corner is also good, we ended up at the restaurant in the high street at least twice as the main restaurant food gets a bit boring after a while, the alcoholic cocktails are very strong, on arrival you have 2 small bottles of drinking water in the fridge that are not replaced strange for an all inclusive, so we brought large pack from supermarket up the road, entertainment is very loud and can be heard no matter where you are on the complex goes on till 1am some nights, the complex is clean and the staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. Be warned if your check out time is early and your transfer is later your all inclusive privileges end as soon as you check out, we paid 40 euros to keep our room longer well worth the money, The Lydia Maris is a pleasant hotel with hardworking staff.

  Good location

  Stayed here early october , paid for a superior room via jet 2 , little bit dissapointed , room was ok , nothing special , bathroom was the smallest we have ever had , nice view from the balcony . Food generaly ok , breakfast fine , just had pizza for lunch , struggled on the evening to find something we liked , ate out a couple of times . Pretty low key on the night times , glad it was only a short walk into town , cant comment on the entertainment , not our cup of tea . Pretty crowded around the pool , usual suspects up at the crack of dawn reserving the best ones , entertainment around was the usual fare , darts etc , would come back to the area , but not back to this hotel , the food for us was the biggest let down

  Bit of a let down

  We found that it is no more than a 3* Hotel, during our July 2019 stay. We had a Superior room which was ok, it was in the new block above the swim up rooms, right across from the outdoor Pizza shack. One of the main problems with this hotel is the food, at best it was luke warm, sometimes cold, it all looked very nice, but wasn't great to eat. Some of our party went upstairs to the fast food place and brought down hot chips, with burgers or kebabs to the main restaurant ! I did complain to the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager, but nothing was done, just kept doing the same. I asked if they had enough water in the food heaters below, but didn't get an answer for that either, the plates aren't warm and with only luke warm, so any heat went straight into the plate leaving you with cold food ! Not our idea of a 4* hotel, as it is only too easy to end up with a stomach upset. The main pool area never seemed to have enough sunbeds, but we did go over the main 6 week holiday period for the UK. No sunbeds in the quieter grass area to get away from it if you wanted to. People from the swim up rooms were coming down most days to play in the main pool. The entertainment crew did a pretty good job as only three of them, Lars, Alex & Nico, but Nico left during our 2nd week to go to a bigger hotel and was replaced by Dominique. There are some good bits to shout about, Retsina on tap near the outdoor food area, with a juice and fizzy pop machine too. There is only bar in the middle of the pool across the bridge. You get a free 15 minute taster massage which was good, but the follow up prices are expensive. The exercise room isn't much to shout about, no shower or changing facilities, you have to go back to your room. This hotel is situated next to a lot of very large trees, these are full of Cicadas, very noisy during the day. The upstairs Burger and Kebab place along with the Pizza shack are really good if you want snacks. We always gauge hotels on would we go back, and sadly NO we wouldn't revisit this place.

  Not a 4/5 star

  We were very disappointed in this hotel, room we had was very dated and was definitely not the 5 star they give themselves or the 4 star Jet2.com stated. It was nearly impossible to get a sunbed, there was not enough for the amount of people staying although in our second week, some brand new ones appeared after complaints. The food was repetitive and usually only warm. We ended up going to a lovely restaurant on the Main Street where we noticed quite a few others from our hotel. We were told there was an adult only pool, this turned out to be the jacuzzi!! The only good thing they had were the pizzas, delicious. Entertainment was a joke. Would not recommend this place.
