Don't stay at the Hotel Preet

I only stayed at this hotel because a huge conference used up every other hotel room within 10 miles of Houston. The fact that this hotel still had available rooms should have been the first clue to stay somewhere else. I phoned the hotel, and the reservations clerk had no idea what the room rate would be. That should have been the second clue. I booked the room on the hotel web site. I confirmed my reservation by phone a few days before. The light in the stairway nearest to my room was so dim I could barely see the stairs. The one time I went to the "fitness center", it had not been cleaned, and dirty sweaty towels were thrown all over the floor. The breakfast had problems. One morning the hot food was 15 minutes late. One morning the hot water wasn't hot enough to make instant oatmeal. When I checked in, the signin form said I could save 50 cents per day if I declined the USA Today. I asked the clerk if I could receive the Wall Street Journal instead. He said he would speak with his newspaper delivery person. The next morning I had no paper at all. I asked the clerk. He said there was no record of my request from the night before, but he too would speak with his newspaper delivery person. The next day there was no paper at all. I asked if I could receive USA Today. The clerk said the owner felt "it was not in his best interest" to offer guests a daily newspaper. Translation - someone is too cheap to honor what it says on the signin form. If you can afford to stay somewhere else, I highly recommend it.

    SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!

Oh my, where do I even begin? It was the most horrific hotel that I have ever checked into and checked out of within the same 15 minutes! They gave us 2 different choices of hotel rooms at check in. When we walked into the first room, it looked as if a tornado had hit it. There was overflowing garbage, stuff all over the carpet, the room stunk, it waIs over 100 degrees in there, and the bed linens were everywhere. We went back down to the front desk and asked to stay in the other room that was available. The front desk clerk was the nicest and most helpful employee that an employer could ask for. She gave us another key and we tried it again. The room smelled absoutely horrible. It was so hot in there that I couldn't even breathe. When I flushed the toliet, the ground shook like water was about to start spraying everywhere. The tub had some kind of green stuff in it, there was actual boogers on the wall( i took pictures to prove to my boss), blood stain on the wall by the coffee pot, unidenified specimen on the bottom of my blanket, there was greasey stains on the sheets, pubic hairs on the sheets, long black hairs on the sheets, there was so much dust that it was unreal, and it looked as if someone had peed on the seat of the chair. I have never in my life seen ANYTHING like this. I quickly called my boss and we switched hotels IMMEDIATELY. The hotel seemed as if it was somewhere for people that work in plants would stay for an extended stay. I would recommend to spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

I cursed my self the first time i stayed at this hotel.Checked out 2 hours after checking in. S this time i only stayed there because of a conference going on. I think the management has changed a lot. the services and rooms are way better than the last time.
