  EL MEJOR HOTEL DE TERESINA

  Buena ubicación, en el centro. Personal del hotel muy agradable, una vez entras en el hotel el personal del hotel te lleva las maletas a tu habitación, el coche al garaje. Habitaciones cómodas. El restaurante del hotel es muy bueno con buenos precios y cocina variada. Estamos encantados en general con el hotel viajamos con una bebe y con las comidas, biberón; no hubo ningún problema. Nuestro hotel en Teresina, volveremos.

  Old fashion, but very decent hotel

  The hotel is located in the very centre of Teresina. This area is completely empty at night, so taking a taxi to go around is advisable! The staff was nice and polite. The room was large, no special decoration, but clean and decent. The bathroom had hairdryer and toiletries. There was no safe in the room, but we stored our valuables at the reception safe. Just needed to ask the staff. The breakfast was ok. We arrived late in the first day and didn't have much food left... The staff prepared us tapioca pancakes upon request. It's not a top notch hotel, but it's very decent and served us very well for two days.

  Luxor not so luxurious...

  The Luxor is a good hotel but it could be better. They do not allow you to borrow an ironing board and iron, requiring you to pay additional money for having your clothes pressed just in case you need them. There was no working space (in terms of desk and chair) so we improvised one using the window sill and getting a chair. The small toilet shower was broken and water spilled on the floor. The room WAS comfortable and clean, and the front desk people were courteous. The restaurant food is very good, with breakfast and lunch offering great variety of excellent food. And yes, the clothes I had to have ironed were done well.

  It's got all the comforts

  I was told that this hotel, in the old part of Teresina, is still a favourite lodging for frequent visitors. Although the surrounding area lacks the modernity of urban shops, businesses and restaurants, the hotel -relatively modern- offers comfortable rooms, good service, and a great breakfast lunch buffet of Brazilian and international cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed that, plus the mini-fridge in our room stocked with Brazilian drinks and snacks. The showers have good pressure, the beds are cushy (making them VERY easy to sleep well in), and the WiFi is fine, though you have to log in quite often if your device is idle for more then 5 or 10 minutes. There seems to be a private -and guarded -parking, next door, as well. Upon arrival we had been warned to never walk though the park, directly in front of the hotel, at any hour of the day, because of thievery. Nevertheless, during shop hours, its ok to walk around the shops on the sides and behind the hotel (though you have to be alert and keep your belongings secured.) The staff has only a very basic knowledge of English, and were very helpful. There is a taxi right below the entrance of the hotel, but on advice from Teresina friends, we relied on Uber for transport; very safe and efficient.

  An okay stay

  The hotel is far from having anything of luxury. Rooms are old, pillows were too hard and felt weird, and the room in general was old. At least it was clean! Would not stay here again. Since the Hotel is located in city center, at night the streets around the hotel are completely empty and nothing is open. Not a safe place at night, and too crowded in the morning.
