modern, hi-tech, yet isolated hotel catering to Koreans and Chinese

This is apparently quite a new facility. So new, that the taxi driver at Jeju Airport had never heard of it and had to call the hotel to figure out where to go. It took about 25 minutes and 15,000 Won to get there. Though the word "hotel" is in the name, it isn't really a hotel. There is no central building which houses the rooms. There is no central place in which to gather. "Villa" is also a misleading term. It is more a collection of apartment houses or condos. If you do not come by car, be prepared to feel isolated. There is nothing in the area and not much to do on the grounds except swim in the pool. If your goal is, in fact, to chill out, go nowhere, and do nothing, this is your place. I very much liked the modern architecture. I found the designs quite beautiful. I am an amateur photographer and it presented a wealth of subjects for creating abstract geometrical images. The WiFi worked flawlessly. I could jack in with multiple devices instantly. No silly codes, policies, or log-on pages. Even though it is tough to have any real interaction with the ocean, it was nice to have a view it. Why no interaction? There is no beach. No boat launches. There is a short concrete path along the shore near The Luston, but there is so much trash strewn among the rocks along the shoreline that it makes one nauseous. The shore is infested with litter. I took 1 walk along this short shore path and was so DISGUSTED that I never went back. The coastal road is not much better. Litter everywhere. Westerners are clearly not the target market for The Luston. There was only 1 staff member who speaks decent English. He knew more English than the rest of the entire staff combined. Nothing in the room is labeled in English. I could not figure out how to operate the hi-tech toilet! The toilet had it's own remote control magnetically attached to the wall. I pushed every button on it. There were sprays, gusts of wind, heat waves in the seat, and various other sound effects, none of them managed to get the toilet to flush. Last comment: Though it is is modern and beautiful, it is terribly overpriced. I do not see myself going back here.

    Not worth the money spent

Stayed at this hotel for two nights over a weekend. This hotel has good view of the ocean from the room and the room is well heated. However, there is no service between breakfast and dinner. I contacted the front desk for some water to be delivered to my room, the room was dry and hot, but no one came for service. I asked for my room to be refreshed and the front desk told me that the maid service is scheduled between 2-3 PM so I have to wait. Also, the room was decorated with cheap materials, where the wall covers were coming off between the joints, due to its cheap nature. I did not think this hotel was worth the money they charged me. After one night the hot water stopped working so we were moved to another room with $300 additional charge, this room had its own small heated pool. Breakfast was expensive but the quality was not that good. The only thing that was good was the massage, which was one of the best I have ever had.

Great and fantastic staying at the luxury hotel

I've visited this hotel in end of Dec 2015. My wife and me enjoyed 3 nights in here. Whenever we visit the Jeju island, this island is always different. That's why I choose this place for my holiday. But at this visiting, this hotel is the best choice. Actually, my wife and me enjoyed hotel not the island. We got a hotel massage and enjoyed swimming in warm water pool. And also used a caravan beside of pool. It's a free in this winter season. Hotel accommodation is also wonderful. We stayed in Family Suite. Enough to 4 people family to stay. Hotel is not close to lobby building but we can use free kart service. Bedroom is very comfortable. Bathroom is clean. Bathtub is little small for couple but single is fine. Free minibar have had 3 free water bottles, 3 Schweppeses (this can be different from your staying), 3 beers. They also gave us 3 of tangerine pies. All these items refreshed at every time, if it's gone. Service guys is very kind and they support well while we have stayed here. If you stay over 2 nights, they may support buffet style breakfast. Various food was satisfied enough for us. I recommend to take this, if you don't want to go out to take breakfast. I will stay this hotel again in my next trip. If I have a chance to stay Pool Villa, I will update my review.

You need a car, speaking half-decent Korea, to enjoy this place

Like many other places in Jeju, public transportation does no good to it. It sits in a beautiful hillside overseeing the ocean with some coffee shop (which also provide nice seaview) within walking distance; for anything else, you need to drive. There are several "villas", which are single buildings (some with pools) that, and some "hotels", which are 3-floor duplex; and all of them come with sea view. I'd imagine this place becomes very popular, as well pricey, which is high season for domestic travelers. For the price we pay (less than $100), it was a steal. However, from check in, to shuttle, to in-room items, one needs to speak some Korean, as most of staffs were not good at it nor the equipment in room gave any good English label/instructions.
