  Just fine thank you.

  There are three bedrooms in this large modern, single story bungalow now run as a B&B by an escapee from Auckland who also happens to be a qualified masseuse. Kinloch is a pleasant lake side spot, but might be considered a bit remote. Its easy enough to get to, but the town is off the main road and youd have to want to come here. That said, our host made us very welcome. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was fine, breakfast was lovely (cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, local honey, fresh rolls and the like), plus there was homemade baking, and nice surrounds. Two cats: one friendly and one not, but neither a problem. Our host was knowledgeable about the area and helped us and the other couple with bookings and advice about walking, biking and hiking trips. NZ$150 (USD 110) for the night for two including breakfast was reasonable.

  Perfect spot for a bit MTB

  First visit to Kinloch, it was all I hoped it would be. Lupin lodge is a very nice place to stay. The rooms are lovely with comfortable beds and modern bathroom. A very yummy breakfast in the mornings made for a good start to the day. Our host was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Kinloch is ideal if you want to explore the Great Lakes Trails, as all the trails finish or start here. The Waihaha boat shuttle is based in Kinloch. Nice Pizza and restaurant are based in the village.

  Perfect

  At first we were a bit put off by the seemingly remoteness of Kinloch. However it turned out just fine. We were given a very nice room with modern bath. The breakfast was great and ample.and there was nothing we missed. However as we were traveling the area we only stayed there for the nights. The only thing we found a bit disturbing was that we shared the living space with the owner which sometimes made us feeling uncomfortable and that we were intruding on the hostess territory. However every thing worked out fine in the end and we were satisfied with the setup.

  An amazing find in beautiful Taupo. A true gem, central to all the major attractions, and it has absolutely everything you need for an extremely comfortable stay. Thank you for our stay, your home is gorgeous!

  Lovely place to stay in Kinloch

  A great B&B in Kinloch. The owner - Lorene - is super friendly and helpful. The king bedroom with en suite was quiet, comfortable and spacious. Breakfasts were SO good! We were the only people staying as it was out of season but Lorene asked what we wanted for breakfast every night so we could be sure we knew what to expect. Lovely cooked breakfasts or fresh fruit and cereal with toast. Absolutely recommended.
