  Right Place to Stay in Lumut

  Had stayed in Lumut Valley Resort Condominium; apartments a few times. All the apartments are very clean and well-kept, fully furnished and equipped with basic kitchen facilities. Great and comfortable place for families getaway as the apartments come in studio, 2 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms. Very friendly receptionist. Lumut Valley Resort Condominium just 5 minutes walk to Lumut town. Another really nice feature is the huge swimming pool at the condo complex with warm water and right next to the jungle with the occasional monkey. Another feature is free parking with a 24 hours security guard and this is probably a good place to store your car for free while you go out to the island resort which is the main attraction in the area. The place looks run down from the outside and that includes the parking garage and you even have to enter from the shoddy looking parking garage to get into the building. However good place to enjoy Lumut town and the surrounding areas Lumut Valley Resort condo are great Most importantly the rates charged are very reasonable compared to other hotel!

  Camping Then Resting

  My husband and I went to Pangkor Island to camp. After 23 days we went to Lumut, got a terrible $10 hotel, then found Super Clean who rented us a luxury type place with an outfitted kitchen for less that $7 a day. The pool is clean and fabulous. It is a $5 ferry ride from Pangkor Island, which looks like paradise. Bring insect bracelets.

  A Poor maintain Old Apartment

  I come for a family stay in a 3 rooms apartment, a spacious OLD apartment with poor maintenance * the furniture is old, especially the sofa, it's exhausted cause can't sit as you can feel the wood frame while sitting on. * the toilet is big but with ugly dirt and fade tiles * the kitchen only have a yellowish stain kettle and of cause the cups are stained, wonder why they can't provide a dish wash or just a piece of clothes in kitchen. *the staircase to swimming pool is full of moss, it's too dangerous and slippery to walk hope the management can work on it

  Pro: - the room is clean and spacious - friendly housekeeping staffs, always so polite and open for conversation - well equipped with pots and pans, cutleries. though i didn't use them, haha. Might be useful for those staying longer - basement parking available, as compared to some other places that make u park on the street, leaving your car exposed to the elements Cons: seriously, the cons outweigh the good points! - this place is so old and the lobby/ lift area/ carparks are poorly maintained. - Paints peeling everywhere. - lift buttons are missing! - car park is poorly lit. The lights were not working for the whole duration i stayed (4 days). So dodgy to get to your car at night. - the hallway from the lift to the rooms are not well lit as well. Trying to save electricity or just lazy to replaces the bulbs? - internet is f-ing slow. Might as well not exist - the pool is useless. Not maintained well and full of mosquitoes All in, not a place i would recommend to someone unless the management starts refurbishing the place. Great place but hampered by their poor maintenance

  We book a studio apartment via booking.com and was directed to a travel agency. We had to pay direct to the agency. After 5 hours drive from KL to Lumut, we went to the travel agency to collect our keys but were told the apartment lifts were broken and we had to climb to the 11th floor to our apartment. We said No No No..and so we were offered a room on the 6th floor..and we said No No No..so we asked for a refund which the agency gave our money back.. So please avoid Lumut Valley Condominium at all costs.
