    Holiday

The owner is friendly. We had a view over the sea. The elevator only goes to the forth floor. No free parking. Breakfast is included but it contained 99% of sweets. It was close to the beach. They speak english. I recommened it.

    Friendly atmosphere, great location!

I spent two nights here with my friends and it was an excellent choice. The location is excellent, near the street full of restaurants and bars. The room was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Great hotel, amazing breakfast and first class help and recommendations from owner!

Cindy is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the beach and Cindy provides recommendations for restaurants, visits and beach clubs. The breakfast was amazing - something for everyone, including cereal, a variety of fruit, eggs, cooked meats, yoghurt, croissants, pastries, bread, rolls, cucumber, tomatoes, a variety of juices, cheeses, jams and spreads. Breakfast could be arranged earlier if you were planning an early trip.Nothing was too much trouble - print out of train timetables, calling taxis and even calling the ambulance when my partner was taken ill! Cindy's English is very good which was extremely helpful when we needed to communicated with the doctors and the hospital staff. Airconditioning and Wifi were extremely efficient and the rooms were cleaned daily to a very high standard. I would highly recommend this hotel. Cindy and all her staff were just amazing!

    Recommended much!

Hotel Lukas is located just near the beach, perfect location. Its basic but clean, staff is very helpful. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Cindy Crudelly, who was extremely friendly and helpful with her advices & tips about the city. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the Cindy who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality! Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Italy. We had two great weeks here, which obviously also added up to the experience. Shops, best restaurants of Viareggio, bars are within walking distance. Meantime, Viareggio is perfect location to travel all over Tuscany. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody!

    Memorable stay

This was my first time in Italy so I had a lot of expectations! My husbands been to Italy before but also first time in Viareggio. It was a short trip to celebrate my birthday, we wanted somewhere comfortable, close to the beach and affordable. We were warmly greeted by Cindy on our arrival who was so friendly and welcoming, answering to all our questions and recommending places on the beach. We stayed on the 5th floor, our room was spacious and mostly important during these times SO SO CLEAN! Comfortable bed, little tv, fridge we used to store our drinks, air con that we used one night - powerful and silent - closet to put our clothes and the bedside tables. Theres also a desk and mirror and another cabinet we used to store our little toiletries, make up, etc.. a rack that could have at least 6 jackets, so we managed to keep the room organised. The bathroom was also spacious and again, super clean! We were provided 3 towels each - bath, hand and face towel - and complimentary soap, shower gel, shower cap. There was a small cabinet to store our things and it looked newly renovated. New sink and shower area. Good water pressure, I could wash my hair with no problem at all and no water splashing all over the place. My husband is 1.94m tall and had no problem in the shower either. The room was serviced every day: we would come back to a clean room and our bed was made. Towels werent replaced, which wasnt a problem to us at all and Im sure we would get new ones if we asked. We also had a balcony with 2 chairs and a table to appreciate the view of the sea and mountains - after coming back from dinner wed enjoy a glass of wine there before going to bed. We got a bottle in a supermarket nearby and Cindy kindly borrowed a wine opener and a glass. Due to Covid, we were asked to choose time and type of breakfast as its not allowed to have a buffet. Two options were provided: - sweet: with yogurt, jam, toast, fruit, cereal - meat: with baguette, cheese, salami, ham, fruit, small salad, boiled egg, cream cheese On top of that wed also get 2 slices of cake (flavours varied, we had chocolate, lemon, peach), 2 sweet croissants and coffee of our choice. We had one each on the first day and the following days wed share just one as it was a lot of food and we didnt want to waste. In the evenings we could smell the cakes being baked for the next morning and in the morning Id also wake up to the smell of what I think was baguettes! There was a bar but wasnt in service, although Im sure Cindy would gladly serve us coffee. A small room with chairs and sofa and a small selection of books and another seating area with an open view of an olive tree - very pleasant! We were required to wear masks all the time in the common areas and there was hand sanitizers in every floor, reception and breakfast area. Lift could be used only by one person (or one room) at a time but we took the stairs every day as some type of exercise after all the good food we were having. If theres a negative comment, it would be from my husband whos a light sleeper and was bothered by the sound of the fridge during the night. He switched off for the night and it was fine. Other than that, no noise other than the birds and the sea and the shutters kept the room really dark. We planned to take pictures of the room on our last day but unfortunately ended up forgetting, as we think the ones here do not do justice to the hotel. We have of our balcony view and the nice square opposite the hotel. We highly recommend it for families and couples who are looking for a friendly, comfort and family atmosphere place to stay. Well recommend to our friends and will definitely come back. We hope to see Cindy again soon!
