  Spacious Rooms, Nice Staff

  Each of the Staff members we encountered during our stay were very nice. The Lodge has older buildings but everything was nicely updated. The room we had was quite large, the bed was comfortable and the bedding/towels were all clean. The grounds were nicely landscaped. The Wifi worked ok for our limited needs. Breakfast on site was sufficient. It was a nice idea to offer hot breakfast items to order but the eggs we ordered were served cold. We had issues with hot water. It seems we had to wait for it to be available. Once it was available it was plenty hot. Both times we tried to use the shower, there was no hot water available when we first turned it on. With the first attempt, after 30 minutes I never got any warm water. The next attempt in the morning, it was nearly an hour before we had hot water. The lodge is a short distance to a shopping center with a restaurant for lunch. While it is close enough to walk, the neighborhood in general does not feel safe. The restaurant staff even cautioned us to be very careful of surroundings while walking back to the lodge.

  Lourie Lodge - great stay

  Excellent service, great staff, very well located for a nearby conference at the Indaba Hotel - would 100% recommend. Also clean, tidy, and the honesty bar was affordable. I'm just writing words now to get to the 200 word minimum, and we've made it! Seriously, it's a good place to stay.

  Stunning, beautiful and friendly hosts

  Staying over for the night was absolutely amazing. What a stunning place you have. We will most definitely be back again. Everything from the service, to the actual room, jacuzzi area and relaxation was exactly what we were looking for. Thank you to the hosts.

  Affordable luxury in Fourways

  Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom were beyond expectations: huge, weel-appointed and very, very clean. Will definitely seek out Lourie Lodge again when I need to stay over in the Fourways area.

  Stay at Lourie Lodge

  I stayed over for 4 nights - the rooms require aircons ( the heat was unbearable) and brighter lighting is required. Lighting was so bad that I could not even read. The bed was uncomfortable. Light dinner service should be included.
