    Very good value overnight stay

Stayed in room 201 for 1 night b&b. Double bed and single bed with small tv and balcony overlooking car park. Radiator roasting left it off for duration. Good size bathroom and plenty of towels. Pool towels were also in room, though found slightly small. Checkin smooth. Pool, steam room and sauna pleasant and clean. Outdoor jacuzzi had stunning view overlooking lough, I found it slightly chilly but it is October. Bar staff extremely pleasant, just ordered sandwiches but arrived with appealing looking salad and crisps. Breakfast was tasty though slightly cold, saw girl leaving out fresh bacon and little potatoes so figured would be hot but were barely warm when I consumed some, perhaps there was a problem with heaters? (Again breakfast staff pleasant). Breakfast room was quite dark, I like to see what Im eating. Lovely lady on checkout. We hope to stay again as its very close to cuilcagh mountain boardwalk. Didnt see much of Drumshanbo apart from driving through it to locate hotel, overall a lovely quiet overnite.

    Dreadful

Arrived for lunch with a friend on Friday afternoon. We were the only people in the restaurant. Before we left two others had arrived. Not a good sign and after I'd sampled the food, I understand why it was so empty. I ordered Seafood Chowder with gluten free bread. What arrived was a bowl of cream with lumps of black squares of fish in it along with extremely tough pieces of salmon. However this was not the problem. The soup was so pickled with salt that it was completely inedible. I had several spoonfuls and that was all. The bread was hard and stale, gluten free bread is never the freshest but you could have played tennis with what I'd been served! The waitress came to clear our plates and never uttered one single word about the fact that the bowl of soup was full. She quite simply just didn't care. The soup cost 8.50. I will never eat here again and am not at all surprised that the place was empty at lunchtime on Friday! Save your money, eat elsewhere!

Family friendly Hotel ticks all the boxes

Stayed two nights. 2 Adults and 3 Children in linked rooms. Nice safe feel to the Hotel and area. Pool and leisure facilities were good. Plenty of variety on Breakfast menu. Ate in Hotel Bar and food was very good, Live music playing in the evening. Kids club available in the evening. All in all an excellent experience.

    Lovely weekend

We stayed at the end of October. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. we had tea and scones on arrival and we thoroughly enjoyed them. We were a party of 4 adults and breakfast and evening meal was included in the price. Breakfast was good with a good choice. It was very busy and we did have to wait to get a table. There were a lot of families with children of all ages. We had an early dinner and it was booked both nights. Food was very good and well presented. We asked if we could take my mother's coffee out to reception and sit on the sofa there. It was brought out for us. Staff throughout the hotel are all very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to the lake view rooms as they were unable to provide a room with a walk in shower for my mother who is 91. They go the extra mile for the guests. We had a lovely stay there and would stay there again.

    A one night getaway

Firstly, Id like to mention that our stay was in March 2019 & so, my comments are only relevant to that time. An easy to find hotel with plenty of spaces in its big, free, outdoor car park. A nice smooth check in & with 2 room key cards in hand, it was up the lift to our 1st floor room. An ok sized room, clean but tired looking with need of a freshen up. With a laminate & carpet floor, wardrobe/closet, full length mirror, luggage rack, dresser, trouser press, tv, hairdryer, large mirror, tea/coffee & biscuits, double bed, single bed, coffee table, small armchair, bedside lockers, smoke alarm & plenty of electric sockets. Room temperature was nice with a double radiator controlled by a trv. A large window let in a lot of natural light & we had no issues with noise from inside or outside of the hotel. There was no iron or ironing board in the room but both were delivered to our room after requesting them from reception. Wi fi, unfortunately, was poor with no password needed to connect to it but it was sketchy & dropped a number of times & froze completely in the bar. Speed was slow, with download speed in the room ranging from 3.9 mbps to 4.3 mbps & upload speeds ranging from 1.4 mbps to 2.5 mbps. The bathroom was, size wise, fine. It was clean with tiled walls & floor, bath, shower curtain, fixed head shower with good pressure & plenty of hot water, body/hair wash & hand wash in dispensers, large mirror, plenty of towels, dual voltage shaving socket, wall vent & over bath clothes line. We went down to the bar in the late afternoon & were impressed with it. A nice, big area with comfortable seating & a stunning view of the lake. For the time of day, it was quite busy with people eating snacks & meals & it appeared to be a mixture of both guests & locals. We had intended on going out for meals but as we got comfortable & liked the look of the food being served up, we decided to eat there. Nothing fancy but decent sized portions of tasty food. I went for battered cod, chips, mushy peas & side salad which cost 14.50 Euros. My wife had chicken curry & rice which also cost 14.50 Euros, followed by apple crumble dessert which cost 5.50 Euros. Pints of Hop House 13 lager cost 5.10 Euros & pints of Coors light were 4.90 euros. Breakfast, served from 07.30 to 10.30, in Rushes Restaurant was good. We went down at 09.00 & there were plenty of tables available. Self service buffet style with cereals, toast, brown bread, ham slices, salami, cheeses, full fry, yoghurts, croissants, prunes, fruit cocktail, teas, coffee & apple, orange & cranberry juices. I must mention that all staff that we encountered were friendly, helpful & attentive. Check out was at 12.00 but we were told that, as it was midweek & not busy, there would be no problem in hanging on until 13.00, if we needed that extra bit of time. Some of the hotel facilities that we did not avail of..kids playroom, a small kids playground, spa, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, outdoor hot tub & gym/fitness room. I walked from the hotel to the gala convenience shop in the village centre. Walking there fairly briskly, it took me just 10 minutes whilst walking back very leisurely, took me 15 minutes. There are plenty of things to see nearby with The Arigna Mining Experience being at the top of that list for me.
