  Wow

  Wow, having read the previous reviews I couldnt disagree more. Our villa was spotless, well equipped and cleaned regularly. Robert, his wife and the owner were extremely friendly and made it clear if we needed anything to ask. The pool area was also spotless and well maintained. We have had a wonderful 2 weeks on this beautiful island in a beautiful location made more memorable by wonderful hosts. We will be back.

  Wonderful hosts

  Wonderful hosts and owners who will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The apartments are spacious and clean with wonderful views over the city and bay of Lopud. The apartments are right next to the ferry service to Dubrovnik and the other nearby islands.

  Stunning views and great owner

  We decided to stay in the apartments this year after a great stay in the Villa Vallini hotel which is in the same complex, the hotel itself is currently closed as the owners assess what they are going to do with this beautiful, elegant building. The apartments are tucked away behind the hotel and are in a great location on the beautiful island of Lopud set amongst a 'work in progress' garden. Iris, the owner, is lovely and couldn't be more accommodating - for reasons I don't need to go into we stayed in three different apartments during our one week stay and for the first move Iris and her friend moved everything from our apartment into the new one - not an easy task! She also bakes brilliant cakes and is a gem to have around. The last apartment we stayed in (Marko) was probably the best, but they are all clean and well equipped with the only complaint being the showers, which were a bit of a let down in all three, but at least Marko's was a shower cubicle unlike the other two which were flimsy ones over the bath - but you get used to it! Air conditioning worked really well as did the WiFi. As for cooking - only a halogen hob and no oven in the kitchen in case you're thinking of doing a bit of cooking, but for me who's not used to halogen hobs it was a bit of a nightmare - took me two hours to cook a breakfast as it constantly switched off, but that could be me not the hob! So yes, would highly recommend Lopud Residence, clean, spacious and stunning views with a nice pool.

  My 50th Birthday

  Myself and my spouse travelled to Lopud to celebrate my 50th birthday. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world I have ever traveled to. I felt like I stayed Under the Tuscan Sun which I know was movie based in Italy but the Olive, Lime, And Pomegranate trees were absolutely beautiful! I would come here again and again. As the Restaurant Mandrac states on their placemats... we live slow, we cook slowly, we dine & wine slowly, we even make love slowly..... so, if you are in a hurry this may not be the place for you .....
