AVOID.Just left this hotel after only 4 nights of our 14 night stay. Booked standard room it was down dark stairs with no handrail in the basement with concrete wall outside of jammed window. Paper peeling from wall due to mould. Turned the tap on in sink water came out from underneath all over floor. Toilet flush just kept on flushing. Booked twin room got double, staff couldn,t care less. We moved to superior room next day, that was better. The hotel boasts free WiFi on its site, wrong no WiFi, when I asked reception standard reply not work. Hotel has bar, wrong, no bar so no drinks available at all. Excellent food, wrong, breakfast barely edible, jam not covered, sugar wet and not covered. Coffee undrinkable. No lunch or dinner served, not as you would want it anyway. This hotel is full of Russians who take all the pool towels and put them on sun beds at 6am in the morning, they take them to their rooms the night before. They then go out all day. I told reception about that, reply nothing we can do and walked off. I dared sit on one two days ago as it was not occupied for hours. I got shouted at in Russian when they decided to come back, they then complained about me at reception. Unless you are Russian you are not allowed to sit anywhere near the pool, and I am not exaggerating at all. All we could do was sit on our balcony looking at a concrete wall. Staff are so very rude and ignorant, ask them anything and always the same not interested. One reception girl just carried on using her mobile and ignored I was there. We have spent 53 years travelling around the world and stayed in many 3 star hotels, but this is the VERY WORST EVER. Now we have had to spend a lot more money on another 3 star hotel, but the staff are nice, room nice, and the pool has sun beds and nice chairs and no Russians, we asked. I would advise anyone to check before going to Thailand especially to make sure its not Russian oriented, because they make life hell, and the staff just give up.

Heaven on earthIt is conveniently located close to the main street where you can find all the food joints and a new mall by the name terminal 21 is very close to it. It has a nice swimming pool, the water is clean and a mini bar in the middle. Food was a bit expensive but good quality Overall nice location, amazing staff.

Bad experienceI am far from being pretentious and prejudiced, but staying at LOMA hotel turned out to be one of the most discomforting experiences in my life on holidays. I made my reservation of this hotel on booking.com for seven nights in February 2019. When I arrived the room was ready and I got the key. The employee of the hotel showed me the way. The room was in the basement of the building right to the left from the reception area. Dust and dirt in the corridors- empty bottles, dirty plates with the rest of the food on the floor in the corridor and finally - the room. The first impression is a stinking smell in the room. I asked the hotel man if this smell in their hotel rooms is a normal thing and he didnt look very surprised by this question (obviously he is asked the same question every now and again) and immediately requested the service maid to come in. She came with the air freshener with a very strong overpowering chemical odor and started to spray it in the room. I am being allergic prevented her from doing this but she went on. I asked her to stop doing it again. She left the room. I looked over the room again. The furniture was tired and old, the window was on the level of the ground with pieces of rubbish on the withered dry plants, somebodys shabby sandals near my window and full view on the solid stone fence 3 meters from the building. The hotel man caught my eye and said that there is not any single vacant room for me to stay at. I am exhausted by almost 12 hours in the road took the room. My sister with her family occupied the family suite in another LOMA hotel building and when she came to see me she was shocked by the smell in the room and forbade her allergic children to visit me in this room and offered me to stay at theirs. I refused as I needed a rest and fell asleep. I woke up at 2 am the call of nature But the room stored some more surprises for me. When I flushed the toilette the water started to go on flushing with a dreadful loud noise and never stopped in spite of my numerous attempts to stop it from running. The mechanism was broken. I closed the door in order to soften the noise reminded me of the partially noise of the Niagara fall partially noise of plane in the middle of its taking off and tried to fall asleep again in vain- the noise was very loud! At 7 am having spent a sleepless night I went to the reception and asked somebody to fix the toilette problem and the receptionist informed me that the earliest it can be fixed is 8 am when the engineer comes to work. I put the cotton pads in to my ears and tried to take a shower and failed again - shower didnt work, it was broken! It must be given justice - the engineer came at 8.15- he came to the toilette, made a magic kick seemingly the skill only he possessed and the water stopped. He made a call to the reception and said that the problem was fixed! I asked him to have a look at the shower he tried to fix it the old way but it was not enough it didnt work. Without saying any single word he intended to leave. I asked him to stop and fix all the defects and he shouted at me Ok, ok I will come back! I left the room and joined my family and appeared to be in the room only in the late night. I put the water into the fridge ( the mini bar was empty) and tried to use the toilette again. The same story- the whole sleepless night full of loud noise of water and old tubes the shower was fixed though. The fridge was also broken the water was a room temperature warm when I took it from the fridge. The next day the receptionist informed me that they found another room for me in another building - the same tired looking dusty room with minibar and fortunately well functioning bath facilities as a bonus. I moved to another room they found and barely slept there - we took a trip to Ko Chang and saved ourselves from staying at LOMA. I have some questions to LOMA hotel- when you invite guests to your hotel and charge money for your services do you seriously consider inviting people who are on vacation to the places with the stinking smell, non functioning toilette facilities, badly cleaned rooms NORMAL? My sister who stayed at LOMA with two 8 year old twin boys spent the first day of staying cleaning every corner of the suite from dust and dirt! It must be some standards, dear LOMA managers! I spent two sleepless nights with the unbearable noise in the room and you took money for it! Hopefully The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand traces such injustice to the tourists and does not allow you to do hotel business the way you do. Otherwise it is a disgrace to hospitality of Thailand, the country we love so dearly and visit every year since 2008.

run down hotel that once was goodLoma Hotel is in the North Pattaya area which is more quite and family oriented. The hotel was fabulous in the 90s when the management paid attention to the details. However, my last stay was in 2018 and it was rather disappointed. The room was not up to 2019 standard, old bathroom that would cost not too much to refurbish but was not. The pool that once were great, is rather run down. Unless you get the room on the 2nd or 3rd floor on the back building which was semi OK, then avoid this place. The location is good as it is not too far from the beach. Yet, I assume the management / ownership must have changed in order for this once great hotel resort to deteriorate to the state it is in now.
