Still great many years after our last visitWe used to stay here regularly when visiting the WW1 battlefields and to pay our respects at the Commonwealth war graves; and it was an outstanding hotel and restaurant with excellent staff. The owners always made us very welcome and we were delighted that after so many years when we returned that we were recognised. A sure sign of people who care about their customers. The hotel is comfortable, well equipped and the restaurant is superb. All the choices are good, but if you want a memorable dinner spend the extra for the top "menu". Outstanding!

Avoid it if you have an alternativeAvoid this hotel if you can. Avoid even more its pretentious restaurant. Rooms are clean and quiet but really average in terms of furniture (door handles and wardrobe handles can rest in your hands with virtually no effort). Lighting in the corridors absent or insufficient, it is very easy to trip up and fall down the stairs (made with uneven steps!). The restaurant is one of the most pretentious ever seen: a short choice of dishes, high prices, low quality, some times it is even hard to get a slice of bread! Their only advantage (probably the only reason someone would like to have dinner there...) is that they are the only restaurant in the surrounds. The only good point of this hotel is the breakfast: rich and varied enough to cheer you up at the beginning of the day, not enough to justify the prices of bed and lodging.

Lovely hotel with excellent food!My girlfriend and I stayed here 2 days (accidentally). The second was not planned, but we were glad we did! The room is clean, the badroom big enough and there was a good WIFI-connection. Martine and her husband Didier own the place and the 2 of them were heavenly friendly! The lady was the receptionist and gave us a warm welcome by arrival, her husband is the chef of the restaurant connected to their hotel. Breakfast was good and you will find everything you need, but: the diner at the restaurant tasted like HEAVEN ON A PLATE, with herbs and ingredients of their own lovely garden at the back!!! When we wanted to leave after our second day, the lady was so kind to help us find a way to get out of town (cause sad but true: no bus nor train in the district...). Don't hesitate to stay here during your holiday in France: you will not regret it! (PS: we wish you everything you want Martine! - 2 pilgrims who walked to Santiago de Compostela!)

Excellent hotel and great foodStayed here for 2 nights on business. The welcome was a warm one. The room was spacious, bright and spotless. I ate there 2 nights and the food is of very high quality. Its true the choice is not so vast and all that is really available is the 47 menu. However if you enjoy gastronomic French food you will love it. If you are looking for a burger and chips you will hate it. Also private parking, ample breakfast and nice little bar area are other positive features.
