    Nice hotel and friendly staff

Our family stayed here 4 days in the middle of August and I would like to share my very positive opinion. The hotel is small and authentic. If you are looking for a modern environment and hi-tech furniture, it is not for you. If you are looking for a real French hotel, with a rustic style, you are welcome. To reply to a previous opinion, the bed was pretty comfortable for me (1.78 m) and for my husband (1.80 m). Breakfast was French, full choice (croissants, flakes, fruits, juice...) and once again I want to disagree with a previous comment - a price was reasonable (around 7-8 euros), good quality, tasty coffee, I really don't understand why the guest was sad. .. What I would like to mention, and I will write it in capital letters, is a REALLY WARM WELCOME and an ABILITY TO SATISFY the customer needs. There was no request which remained unsatisfied (and believe me, our requests were numerous as we were travelling with 3 children), starting from changing the room and finishing with warming some food. To be fair, there were some drawbacks (small toilet in children's room) but again, if you live in an old building, you should not expect a supersonic jet as an elevator, eh? I sincerely recommend you to choose this hotel for your stay, besides -it is in the middle of the city - there is a free parking - it has its own restaurant - other nice restaurants nearby - small market nearby on Thursday

Dawdling along the coast between Etel and Trinité sur Mer... A piece of good luck!

The welcome from all staff was effusive and genuine. The service was excellent and the food terrific! Everything was very, very good. All were very kind to our dog offering him water and a friendly pat on the head!

Excellent hotel well placed for visiting dolmens and menhirs

Warm welcom from friendly and very helpful staff . Excellent room for those with disabilities. Hotel well placed for visits to dolmens and menhirs but out of the rush and noise of hotels in larger towns. Good well priced meals , as youd expect from a Logis. Delightful stay and would certainly come again. NB hotel name changes to ocean Hotel next years

    Heartbroken!

We have stayed at this hotel and restaurant for the last 20 years having found it on the web. They were the only ones of 3 in the area that replied to our request! All the reviews on here reiterated our own experience of the staff and services. This year we booked our annual golf trip and were given the sad news that the hotel had changed hands and our friends would not be working there in late September. However the place had many fond memories of fabulous meals and great fun in the bar afterwards. We were due to travel on Friday 21 sept but our condor boat was cancelled so we emailed the new owners to inform them...we didnt get a reply but as we were letting them know we would be there on Saturday at the same time as always...2 hours by road from st mall, we thought nothing of it. We arrived outside the hotel around 8 to find the hotel restaurant and bar in darkness which was quite disturbing as it was always the hive of industry and the go to place in the village ... on investigating we found a paper notice on the door stating they had closed for the season and a number to ring for attention. This we did and a man, unknown to us appeared with a key. Fortunately my wife speaks French so was able to find out what was going on. Since the sale on July 1st apparently business had dropped off to such an extent that they had made the decision to close bar and restaurant but still allow guests who had booked rooms to continue to stay in the hotel! This was offered to us so we stayed that night with the thoughts that we might change venue the day after. Knowing the area and after contacting our good friend from the family we got the whole story and decided to do bed and breakfast....yes! they were offering petit dejeuner to guests so that was the only bonus. It saved dragging ourselves 1kilometre up the road and there are several other food establishments in the village which after 20 years we finally got to use...see my other reports on here! I cant see this hotel remaining within the chain of logis next year when it is to reopen under a possible new name! Heartbroken yes but so pleased to have had so many great trips to the wonderful hotel des voyagers.. particular thanks to guilbert and fabienne and chef Bruno not forgetting madam gouzerch.

    Dinner

We first visited this restaurant over 35 years ago and most recently in the last ten. This time we were very disappointed and shocked at the decline. Recently undef new management, its clear the establishment is not what it was. On a Saturday night, we were the only table ......left about 9.00pm after a very average meal. The owners then closed Such a shame
